An absolutely beautiful day with oak leaves 🍁🍁 abundantly drifting off our white oak tree! Temp has been mid 70’s today with a cool, lovely breeze stirring the chimes, treetops and caressing my face as it drifts through the patio. A topsy-turvy day today and I said heck with it all on overflowing “to-do” list and headed out to patio with pot of French Caramel Creme Brûlée tea ☕️ and devotional material! Told hubby as he joined me for a time on patio, that days like today are how I wish our summer days were——he agreed!
Our holiday catalog debuted this weekend and I was thrilled to see was in the offerings. This blend is a Legacy product that was first introduced in 2012—-12 years ago! It is an awesome blend of oils and as a Legacy product is a limited-edition. It is a wonderful blend for spiritual grounding. One of its many oils is —Europeans traditionally called “Holy Spirit root” or “oil of angels” and believed by them to be of divine origin! I put this blend in diffuser today and house smells lovely! Definitely gonna order some more of this blend for my stash!

Finally weather that feels like the season! 🍁🍂 A brisk 48 degrees this morn so decided to break free from warmth of bed & rise early for some much needed ! Yes, I am enjoying tea in my Christmas tea items. Want to enjoy them as much as I can, not sure how much of Christmas 🎄 will be able to be put up this year. Enjoying Earl Grey tea ☕️ while settled into my cozy nook with an afghan that was my dad’s over me. & are permeating my space with a woodsy, grounding aroma. !

It is a lovely 56 degrees this morn as it was yesterday! Such a welcome change from horrible HOT 🥵 triple digit day temps we have endured for most of July! This morning coolness has me anticipating autumn 🍂 temps as I nestle under an afghan with sweat pants and sweat shirt on. Windows are open to cool the house for day temps of 90 degrees or so—-much better than triple digits as high as 109!

Decided to stay up upon feeding Little One and Blackie. Been in a funk for awhile, perhaps partly due to horrible temps and confined to home with blinds all shut —no way to live when our home 🏠 has a bounty of windows that draw the outside in with their views!

House is quiet 🤫 so stayed up so could settle into devotional nook with pot of French Caramel Creme Brûlée tea ☕️, diffuser emitting & into my nook and anointed with . Love ❤️ my wood oils—-so nurturing & grounding! Now to sit back and rest in reading 📖 in quiet!

Took a morning walk in the cool of 6:15 a.m. morn! Felt so good 😊! Used to walk all the time for years. Decided I needed to get back to it for self-care. Something about early morn’s stillness that has always warmed my heart. 💕

Bottled up 2 bottles of my cultured kefir; brewed a new batch of kombucha—decanted 5 bottles last night; finally got this strawberry 🍓 freezer jam made this morn; put a whole chicken 🐓 in crockpot for dinner and leftovers 🥰; sun tea is brewing in the goodness of the sun 🌞 on porch rail; and floors are swept 🧹—now for a respite of tea ☕️ and devotions in my recliner. Little One 🐯has decided she likes to nap 💤 in chair in my nook 😊. These days by noon 🕛 I am done ✅ for the day. 😆

Once again, a HOT 🥵🥵 one! 108.9 F on front porch—-thank God we had A/C unit serviced before summer hit but just told hubby think we better have it done again in fall after running in all this intense heat and still more days to go! 😳 So hunkered down inside, blinds all closed, ceiling fans & A/C going—-thank God for modern day conveniences! 💕

Fixed hubby a cup of organic green tea 🍵 & I am having a pot of one of Young Living’s teas, —-very smooth & delicious 😋!

Sun tea is brewing on front porch rail—-make it with roobios and green tea.

eo blend is diffusing into nook—-now time to read 📖 and pray 🙏🏼 I don’t fall asleep 😴!

Yeppers!! Another triple digit day of HOT 🥵——106.5 on front porch! We count our blessings for roof over our head and A/C that works! Homeless are not so blessed! 😢 So while we feel like cooped up hermits inside our home at least we have a home 🏡 that is cool!

Enjoying pot of French Caramel Creme Brûlée tea ☕️ in my nook while essential oil blend, permeates the air. A lovely blend of tree oils with “white” in their names. I seem to be drawn to wood oils. 🥰

Finished sprouting some . Have enjoyed the so far and ready to do another jar of those. While our summer heat is not conducive to successful veggie gardens I am happy to be able to do sprouts, fermented veggies, kefir, kombucha, various yogurt strains. It feels great being able to have some control over what I do for our health!

Time to sit back, sip my tea while I read and connect with my devotions and scripture! And pray 🙏🏼 I don’t nod off! 😀

🔥🔥🥵 HOT 109 degrees on front porch—-hour ago it was 106 on patio! Mr. Peacock 🦚 has chosen our place most days to grace his presence—-he was limping pretty bad with a hurt foot for 10 days or more but seems able to walk more normal. I have water in birdbath, bowls on porch & patio, and in shade on edge of lawn under a redwood for the turkeys 🦃, Mr. Peacock 🦚, outdoor kitty I took on when neighbor passed 2 yrs. ago & any strays that pass through. Poor turkeys & Mr. Peacock 🦚 are so hot their beaks are open, throats are panting & feathers are all fluffed out! The heat is brutal!

Sure glad I had beautiful flowers 💐 this Spring to thrill my heart as the lawns and landscape are parched from all this unforgiving unending days of triple digits! Triple digits through 12th! 😳

I’ll be doing chicken Caesar salad for dinner so as to not have to use stovetop for long. Always try to have makings for it during heat spells! 😊

Another sizzler today—-just shy of 107 degrees! 🔥🥵 Not looking forward to another 8 days or more of this that is forecasted! Grateful that at least here in our mountain community the temps lower at night. in my diffuser filling the nook with its lovely aroma.

Rose early to raise blinds to let more of cooler air into house before having to close windows and blinds to trap that cooler air in house 🏡. So thankful we had new windows put in 3 or 4 yrs. ago—it has made a difference, especially in my nook. 😀

Savoring French Caramel Creme Brûlée tea ☕️ as I settle into my Queen Anne chair to and read. Breeze must be stirring outside as I hear the occasional ti**le of comes. 💕 Managed to get some pumpkin muffins in the oven early this morn before heat of day hit. Also made some potato 🥔 salad & guacamole 🥑 for sides for our dinner tonight.

I am so excited 😆 to have found a great source finally for organic, non-GMO seeds for sprouting. It has been years since making my own and others. I also got seeds and seeds to make. My broccoli sprouts are now ready for fridge and eating! 😋 So nutritionally healthy for us! 💕
