Cutler’s media career began in 2000 working as a lead publicist at independent record company Six Degrees Records in San Francisco. Cutler graduated with a BA in Politics from Oberlin College (Oberlin, OH: 1999), and grew up in Minneapolis, MN. When launching the boutique firm, Cutler broadened his scope of work to reach beyond the music world as he began publicizing campaigns for celebrated entrepreneurs, small business owners, non-profit leaders, artisanal purveyors, singular brands and standout products. Enjoying wonderful people and moments tasting wine produced by Donna Kato, the steward of Adonna Wines & Canfield Vineyard, 18 miles inland from Bodega Bay. 2023 Adonna Pinot Noir hails from one of the rarest coastal land plots off the Petaluma Gap — with its prolonged growing season & condensed fruit clusters, resulting in exceptional pinots.

Two Michelin ⭐️⭐️ — Kiln’s beverage director, Vincent Balao, who was most recently lead sommelier at Atelier Crenn, tastes Adonna’s Pinot and White Pinot (photos) — two wines set for limited production release in April 2026.

2026 marks 20 years since I launched my communications firm in San Francisco’s Mission District—back in 2006, at 29 years old, with more grit than certainty and a deep belief in the power of storytelling.

Those early years were a grind, but they shaped everything that followed. My life and career expanded in immeasurably beautiful ways after meeting my wife Robyn in 2008, and later welcoming our kids in 2013 and 2016. Personal growth has always guided my professional ambitions—and it remains the foundation of how I approach authentic, human-centered marketing and PR.

Over the past two years, I’ve leaned deeply into the worlds of CPG, business development, and brand building, inspired by the extraordinary founders, chefs, musicians, and change-makers in my orbit. As I step into 2026, I feel more ambitious—and more aligned—than ever before.

Today, I’m proud to introduce our new website at www.jpcutlermedia.com and an expanded vision: evolving from a traditional PR firm into a Global Marketing Agency specializing in CPG Ventures, Business Development, Public Relations, and Talent Booking—all rooted in culture, creativity, and purpose.

I’m endlessly grateful for the incredible people we’ve partnered with over the past two decades. In a world too often driven by fear, division, and intimidation, I will always stand with the underdog, champion culture, and lead with love.
