Today was a great day to boil my bones 🦴 🥣

We’ve been feeling a little worn out around the house. We woke up to a rainy, dreary day, so I got out my Instapot to boil all of the chicken bones that I had stashed in then freezer. 2 hours later, we had gorgeous chicken bone broth! 💕. A great immunity booster!

The bone broth turned into homemade chicken orzo soup 🍜…just what we needed!

Do you save and boil your bones??

** Do you know this person? **

I’m looking to connect with a specific kind of person right now and I’d love your help!

I’ve been working with overworked, stressed out restaurant managers recover from restaurant burnout!

✔️ One client has improved their sleeping and has stopped relying on caffeine to keep them going all day alcohol to unwind at night.

✔️ Another client experienced significant weight loss despite their busy schedule.

✔️ Finally, a client was able to greatly reduce the amount of sugar in her diet and increase her energy levels by addressing food cravings.

I’m pretty psyched by how well this stuff works and I am looking to help more restaurant managers/owners with it.
Here’s the type who is PERFECT:

💥 Managers who push themselves to always do more. They find themselves at the restaurant still working, hours after they should have gone home. They often feel like they “can’t turn off”. They want to be able to relax and enjoy life, but they have a constant nagging feeling that they should be doing more!

💥 They feel like they can just “muscle” through their shift, but it is getting harder and harder to do so. As a result, they are fried! They feel like they are constantly in the weeds and some health issues are starting to pop up.

đź’Ą Ages 35-55, they are in the midst of their career and noticing a level of burnout that is not sustainable for longevity in the business.

*** Who do you know that sounds like this?***

Is it you?

Tag them here, drop a comment, message me or shoot an email to Christine@tohihealthandwellness.com because I want to help them!

Thanks for connections, all!

Cheers to Health & Wellness

About 20% of people with celiac disease have thyroid antibodies⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Research has found that people with autoimmune thyroid diseases have an increased risk of developing celiac disease, AND, people with celiac disease have an increased risk of having autoimmune thyroid disease⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Given these risks, some experts recommend that patients with AITD should be routinely screened for celiac disease and vice versa⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So what is the relationship between gluten sensitivity or celiac disease and Hashimotos?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📍MOLECULAR MIMICRY: the protein within gluten, called gliadin, is molecularly very similar to the thyroid gland. When gluten enters the bloodstream from the digestive tract (which happens due to leaky gut) and the immune system is already prepared to attack the thyroid, the body then reacts and attacks, making symptoms worse.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📍GENES: Another reason is the fact that they share specific genes. The gene variants that make you more susceptible to developing autoimmune endocrine diseases like AITD, DR3–DQ2 and/or DR4–DQ8 are the same ones that predispose you to celiac disease.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Studies have found that a gluten-free diet can reduce thyroid antibodies TPOAb and TbAB and increase serum levels of vitamin D (PMID: 30060266)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some benefits of a gluten-free diet:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅Healing your gut could increase absorption of your thyroid meds⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅Could reduce medication dose due to increased absorption ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅Decreasing symptoms related to celiac disease or sensitivity, such as fatigue, weight loss, constipation, diarrhea, joint pain, depression, and anxiety⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅Decreased inflammation in your thyroid gland⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅Increased absorption of all nutrients⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The good news is that the right diet and lifestyle choices can work wonders when it comes to treating and healing the thyroid!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀..⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you gone on a gluten free diet?
