Attention to our feline loving friends! 🐾

This is Raven! An approximately 3 year old spayed female looking for a loving home! Her current owner has found she is allergic and is looking for a loving home for her. Raven is not just adorable and SUPER friendly, she also proved to be healthy upon physical examination today. She loves to explore and greets new people with loud purring!

Luka proves that dogs are much more aware and capable than we give them credit for. Luka, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, comes to MWVS regularly for acupuncture to help control his seizures, and holistic treatment to help heal his upset stomach. Today, after we all chatted for awhile, he walked over to the fan, touched his nose to the touch screen, turned the fan on, and lay down in front of it. This dog could easily be a service dog!!

We’re thrilled to share that Dr. Cantwell is doing wonderfully in her recovery from ankle surgery and is on track to being back to her normal self soon! 🦴✨

Here’s where YOU come in – we’re having a CONTEST! 🐕✨

👉 Guess the 6 dog breeds featured on the cupcakes by sending us a PRIVATE MESSAGE or TEXT MESSAGE (just remind us who your pet is) with your answers. (Posted answers will be deleted!) The person with the closest number of correct guesses will win a credit on their account! Who knows, maybe even a special yummy human treat from Desiree herself!! 🎉

Start the Year with a Happy, Healthy, and Well-Trained Pet! 🐾✨

January isn’t just about New Year’s resolutions for us—it's also Walk Your Pet Month and National Train Your Dog Month! 🐕🚶‍♂️

This month, why not combine two great habits for your pet’s health and happiness? Regular walks are not only fantastic for their physical well-being, but they’re also an excellent opportunity to work on training in real-world environments. Whether it’s practicing loose-leash walking, reinforcing basic commands, or simply enjoying some quality time together, walking and training go hand in hand. 🦮🎓

Tips to Get Started:

🏃‍♀️ Take a daily walk to promote a healthy weight and boost your pet’s mood.
🎾 Use walks as training opportunities to work on commands like ‘sit’, ‘stay’, or ‘heel’.
🧠 Incorporate mental exercises during your walks, like finding treats or practicing recalls.

Does your pet have any fun tricks they can do? Let us know in the comments! 👇

🐾 Florida Chill Alert: Keep Your Pets Safe! ❄️🌴

Even in Florida, these cooler nights can pose risks to our furry friends. Here’s how to keep your pets safe during Florida's "cold snaps":

🔹 Provide Warm Shelter: While it doesn’t snow here, temperatures below 50°F can be uncomfortable for many pets. Bring them inside or ensure they have a cozy, draft-free shelter outdoors.

🔹 Monitor for Sensitivity: Short-haired or smaller pets may feel the cold more, even at mild temperatures. Sweaters or jackets can help keep them comfortable during walks.

🔹 Protect Their Paws: Moisture and cooler temps can lead to cracked or irritated paw pads. Check their feet after outdoor adventures and keep them moisturized if needed.

🔹 Avoid Temperature Drops Indoors: Keep your home at a consistent, comfortable temperature, especially overnight when it can get chilly.

🔹 Hydration Still Matters: Cooler weather might decrease your pet's water intake. Ensure they’re staying hydrated, especially if they’re still active outdoors.

🔹 Be Aware of Wildlife: As temperatures drop, snakes and other wildlife may seek warmth near your home, increasing interactions with pets. Stay vigilant.

Florida’s "cold" is different, but our pets still need care and protection. Stay cozy and share your pet's chilly-weather photos in the comments! 🐾❄️
