Residents went on an outing to Silver Springs yesterday! They took in the beautiful scenery and a boat ride on the famous "Glass Bottom Boats!" This was the first time for a couple of residents, and others knew the park from days gone by and told us the stories of when TV shows and movies were filmed there. And when they had all kinds of animals β€” including BEARS! The exotic animals are all gone now, but we saw a 4-foot turtle and an alligator in the springs! It was such a relaxing day.

This morning, we were so honored to have "The Brick City Bell Ringers" perform for us! We had a large turnout, which pleased one resident in particular because she is part of this talented group! After the concert, residents were allowed to go up and play some bells themselves and talk with the musicians. πŸ””πŸŽΆπŸ””

Last week, with perfect "Florida weather," we took residents on a cat boat tour of the Dora Canal. The Dora Canal is a historic, mile-long waterway in Central Florida. It has been the location of many famous movies, including "Creature of the Black Lagoon," "Tarzan," and "The African Queen." We had an enjoyable day on the water. 🌴🌞🌊🚀🌴
