She has personal experience of divorce, death of loved ones, immigration, a second marriage and adult children leaving home to move abroad. She engages w

ith clients/workshop participants in a non-judgmental and compassionate way, and she hopes to ignite in them the belief that they can create a new life story despite loss or disruptive/adverse life experiences. Her book, "A Guide to Creative Journaling," provides a step-by-step guide to creating a journal after adversity and disruptive life changes. She offers:
Individual Creative Narrative Journaling workshops:
The participant is given an opportunity for self-discovery, growth and empowerment, especially after a significant loss or life-altering experience, such as the death of a loved one, divorce, moving, immigration, or the adult children leaving home (the empty nest). Mandala, Neurographic, or Collage art workshops:
Participants learn new self-support skills and experience the benefits of creativity on personal wellbeing. The workshops also create the opportunity for social connection in a compassionate environment.

Swaarkry is deel van die lewe. AS DIE LEWE DRUK is dit belangrik om jouself goed te versorg. Deel van self-sorg is om iemand te vind wat jou kan ondersteun en jou kan help om aan te hou funksioneer ten spyte van die swaar.

Daar is verskillende lewensituasies wat vir ons ʼn ervaring van verlies en desperaatheid veroorsaak. VERSORGING EN BEGELEIDING WORD BELANGRIK wanneer; ʼn geliefde sterf, ʼn belangrike verhouding tot ʼn einde kom, egskeiding gebeur, ʼn mens jou werk verloor, jou troeteldier sterf, jou gesondheid agteruit gaan, jy jou werk verloor, jou kind met ADHD gediagnoseer word, of enige ander traumatiese gebeurtenis jou realiteit verander of bedreig.

Toe my huwelik van 23 jaar ʼn paar jaar gelede tot ʼn einde gekom het en ek finansieel op my knieë was, het die maklike antwoorde net nie meer sin gemaak nie. Ek moes daadwerklik soek vir maniere om die trauma en verlies te hanteer en terselfdertyd ʼn veilige tuiste vir my kinders te skep. Ten spyte van die feit dat ek ʼn gekwalifiseerde berader was het die intensiteit van die verlies my onkant gevang. Ek moes leer wat my vorentoe help het en wat my in ʼn web van moedeloosheid gevange hou. Ek moes VAARDIGHEDE AANLEER wat my kon help om een tree voor die ander te sit. Dit is hierdie VAARDIGHEDE wat ek graag met jou wil deel.
