Hello! I am in charge of a Toys For Tots drive this Saturday, November 18th at Hastur Games in Midvale, from 11:00 AM To 5:00 PM. I'm looking for volunteers to come in Doctor Who or other cosplay to wave at cars and help collect donations. There will be other Superhero, Princess, Star Wars, Ghosbuster, and Star Trek cosplayers as well.

(1) It’s helpful to bring a Halloween candy bucket that corresponds with your cosplay to collect money. A lot of cars will pull up and then drivers or passengers will roll down the window to hand you money. Take the money inside once it’s in your bucket for collecting and counting.

(2) Make a sign. You can get poster board and a mop handle at the dollar store for about a buck each. Make a sign and duct tape the mop handle to the back of your sign, and passing motorists will see and understand what we’re doing.

(3) A lot of people will add holiday flair to their cosplays, like Santa hats or reindeer antlers. The dollar store is a good source for this also.

(4) Dress warm. We’ll be outside waving at cars, and this event is rain or shine.

(6) Please park in the back (see the attached map) to allow patrons to easily park in the front.

(7) You don't have to stay the whole time. Come and go as your schedule allows.

(8) Have fun!
