“For me, drag has never been just about entertainment— it’s about using my platform to uplift, educate, and inspire. As a Black man living in Oklahoma, I’ve experienced the stereotypes and stigma firsthand, especially around HIV and AIDS. We know that Black men are disproportionately impacted by HIV, and that reality drives my passion even more. With my medical background and my title as Miss May, I’m committed to breaking down barriers, challenging stigma, and creating a community where education, compassion, and acceptance lead the way. Together, we can drag out the stigma and build a future of understanding and love.”

April 10th is designated as National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day.

Youths are among the groups most vulnerable to HIV infection, not due to indifference but rather inadequate access to healthcare resources, insufficient education, and scarcity of secure environments.
This awareness day aims at promoting regular testing, raising awareness about preventive measures such as PrEP, tackling stigma, and ensuring that individuals receive care in a safe and supportive environment.

“I’m using my voice and my platform to advocate for ending the HIV epidemic in Oklahoma. We have the power to change the narrative—through awareness, compassion, and action. Ending HIV starts with education, regular testing, and making sure everyone has access to prevention and care. Together, we can break down, stigma, uplift our community, and create a future where every Oklahoman thrives—healthy, strong, and unapologetically proud. With love, we can all change the world.”
