“We believe all people have a right to express their unique joy and beauty, and we use humor and irrelevant wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency and guilt that chain the human spirit. The Sisters of the Sacred Heartland begin our work as a Mission House in Oklahoma City in early 2011. We achieved our goal and celebrated our evaluation in September of 2012, becoming a fully professed house of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and the first chapter in Oklahoma. Since our inception we have worked with and raised money for over 25 different nonprofit organizations and community events, and we have donated over $35,000 directly back into our OKC community .

This group is a safe, affirming space for:
-Q***r and Two-Spirit caregivers supporting loved ones with dementia
-Allies caring for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals living with Alzheimer’s or dementia

HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day (HLTSAD) is observed on June 5th, honoring the resilience of people who have lived with HIV for a decade or more, and promoting improved quality of life. This day also commemorates the CDC's initial report on the AIDS epidemic in 1981.
