What if our compass is off?
Not off because we’re weak…
It's off because it keeps pointing us straight into chaos.
Same toxic people.
Same situations.
Same story… different face.
And we keep saying, “We don’t want this.”
But somehow… we end up right back in it.
So we’ve have to rewire it.
Step one… we spot the loop.
Simple question, but it hits:
What keeps happening that we say we don’t want… but we keep allowing?
No judgment… just honesty.
Because that pattern? That’s not random.
Step two… we name the magnet.
What is it that’s pulling us?
Is it a mirror… showing us something we haven’t healed yet?
Is it an echo… of what we grew up in?
Is it reversal… trying to flip the past?
Or is it completion… trying to finish something that never got closure?
Something is pulling us.
And it’s not by accident.
Step three… we trace it back.
This is where it gets real.
Who taught us that this was normal?
Whose love came with conditions?
Where we had to earn it… prove it… fight for it?
And let’s go deeper…
Who made us feel like safety has a cost?
Like we’ve gotta give something up just to feel okay?
Like peace isn’t something we can just have… it’s something we have to pay for?
That didn’t come from nowhere.
Step four… we expose the lie.
That pull we feel?
That rush?
That adrenaline spike?
That’s not chemistry.
That’s childhood.
That’s our system recognizing something familiar… not something healthy.
So what’s the lie?
What did we learn back then…
that we’re still living out right now like it’s truth?
Because it’s not.
And here’s where it gets real…
When we start doing this work…
when we start breaking these patterns…
Peace is going to feel wrong.
It will mess with us.
Because if our system is wired for chaos…
peace doesn’t feel peaceful.
It feels like something’s about to happen.
Like it’s too quiet.
Like we don’t deserve it.
Like something’s around the corner.
It might even feel boring.
Like something’s missing.
But nothing’s missing.
That’s just the absence of chaos.
That’s our system coming down from adrenaline.
And if we’re not aware…
we’ll go right back to the dysfunction…
Just to feel something again.
That’s the trap.
That’s the magnet.
And that’s exactly why we have to rewire the compass.
