Comfort and Joy Greetings! I’m Mistina, the enthusiastic founder of Comfort and Joy. Thank you for stopping by our page!

At Comfort and Joy Child Development Center, our mission is to provide quality care and teach through play, creating a fun, playful, and caring environment that nurtures and inspires children's growth and development. With a Mastery certificate in Early Childhood Education and Administration from OSU-OKC, I’ve transformed my home into a warm and welcoming haven for busy families. A little about me: I’m a proud mother of six and have dedicated three years to childcare, focusing on nurturing infants and toddlers. There’s nothing more fulfilling than watching these little one's blossom into imaginative and spirited individuals. In 2023, I was thrilled to be named a Top 3 People's Choice Finalist for the Licensed Childcare Association Artist of the Year at the LCCA Champion Gala, where I also received the Making a Difference Award for my contributions to the Oklahoma Childcare Industry. In 2024, I was honored to be among the top 5 for Infant Teacher of the Year. While I cherished my time at a larger center and the variety of age groups, I yearned for a more personal environment where I could connect with families in my own home. Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are pleased to share that the Food Program conducted our 1st of 3 required yearly unannounced visit, and Comfort and Joy Child Development Center was found in full compliance.
This visit reviews meal service, menus, food safety practices, and documentation. We are proud that our program continues to meet all standards and provide nutritious, well‑balanced meals for the children in our care.

When scattered thunderstorms threaten we move our egg hunt inside. We had a fabulous time with our parents and friends hunting over 400 eggs inside.

We want to share a quick update regarding our most recent visit from Oklahoma Child Care Licensing. Licensing conducted a routine unannounced inspection, and we are pleased to report that Comfort and Joy Child Development Center was found in full compliance in all areas.
During the visit, it was also noted that we have been actively enhancing our learning environment. Our new story bins and sensory bins—designed to support hands on learning, language development, and imaginative play—are nearly complete. These will soon be available for families to check out and enjoy at home as part of our continued commitment to supporting learning beyond the classroom.
