Congratulations to AONP member Hannah Hoppes!
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Dr. Hannah Hoppes, DNP, FNP-BC, our newest faculty member at NWOSU! She will be teaching in our Doctor of Nursing Practice program.
Dr. Hoppes brings both clinical and teaching expertise to our program. She currently serves as a Hospitalist with the Internal Medicine team at Pratt Regional Medical Center in Pratt, KS, and previously taught at WSU Tech and the University of Tulsa.
This fall, Dr. Hoppes will be teaching Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Orientation, and mentoring DNP projects. In the spring, she will teach Health Assessment, Leadership, continue mentoring DNP projects, and will also coordinate clinical placements.
Her educational journey is unique and inspiring—starting with a bachelor’s in Biblical Theology, then branching into nursing where she earned her ADN, BSN, and DNP as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
When asked what she is most excited about this year, Dr. Hoppes shared that she loves building meaningful relationships with students, supporting them through the challenges of graduate school, and creating a learning environment that is both enjoyable and memorable.
Outside of teaching and practice, Dr. Hoppes lives on a small ranch in south central Kansas with her husband of eight years and their three children (ages 7, 5, and 2). Together, they raise ducks, turkeys, chickens, and cattle, and she’s currently lobbying for sheep to join the mix! She’s also looking forward to the greenhouse and garden her husband is building for her. 🌱
We are thrilled to have Dr. Hoppes join our faculty and look forward to the knowledge, mentorship, and enthusiasm she brings to our students and programs. Welcome, Dr. Hoppes! ❤️
