COBA's Chair Maria Meyer and Executive Director Alexis Boryca enjoyed an afternoon at Frontier City Theme Park preparing the Nursing Mother’s Space for the upcoming summer season. The space is now stocked with resources and essentials to support visiting breastfeeding families throughout the park’s busiest months.

A big congratulations to the first cohort of Oklahomans to successfully complete our Emergency Infant Feeding Support Training! 🎉

This important training helps prepare communities to support infants and caregivers during emergencies, disasters, and times of crisis. We are thankful for the partnership and collaboration of the Oklahoma State Department of Health and the Oklahoma Medical Reserve Corps in making this opportunity possible.

Thank you to everyone who participated and took this important step toward strengthening emergency preparedness in Oklahoma.

COBA is excited to share that we have been awarded an Access to Healthcare grant from the Oklahoma City Community Foundation! 🎉

These funds will expand our Mothers in Need Pumping Program with a focus on supporting parenting students across Oklahoma. We’ll be working with schools, colleges, and training programs to provide lactation-friendly policies, lactation space furnishings, and resources to help students return to the classroom and continue their education after delivery.

Schools interested in developing or strengthening their lactation support can apply to partner with COBA by emailing info@okbreastfeeding.org.

Together, we’re building a more supportive, equitable future for Oklahoma families. 💙
