Our Story

Haus Bioceuticals was founded by Michael Centola, Ph.D. and Philip Alex, M.D., Ph.D. with one mission: to develop natural medicines using an evidenced-based approach. Our highly integrated R&D team is comprised of multidisciplinary experts in the fields of naturopathic and allopathic medicine, immunology, and inflammatory biology. When Haus developed MetaDerm, clinically active botanicals were put through the same rigorous development process as pharmaceutical medicines, bridging the worlds of pharmacologic and naturopathic medicine. This is a unique approach, a third path, where the full potential and mechanisms of action of these natural safe and effective anti-inflammatory treatments is being understood and harnessed in an evidenced-based manner for the first time. Knowing that inflammation is caused by a variety of underlying factors, the team developed a blend of botanical ingredients that normalizes multiple key dysregulated inflammatory pathways of eczema and psoriasis sufferers. This multi-pathway approach results in true healing at the molecular, cellular, and tissue level, by re-establishing immune balance in the skin (“homeostasis”) with unprecedented efficacy and safety.
