Free Market Medical Association

Free Market Medical Association Our Goal is to bring together buyers and sellers of healthcare good and services - while reducing costs and increasing quality. Cash is cash.

ABOUT THE FMMA
The FMMA is a non-partisan association that provides resources, support, and education to our members, and to the public, about the free market movement and why it is so important. We help to defend and expand the practice of free market medicine against the interference and intrusion of the government or other third parties. PILLARS OF THE FREE MARKET
Due to the wildly varying definitions of transparency and free market in this industry, many of which are neither free market or transparent, the FMMA has designated these pillars as the foundation of the Association. Our members are asked to always abide by these pillars; using ethics and transparency in all areas of their businesses. The Free Market works when there is freedom of choice. Price - PRICE is NOT a product, the CARE is the product. Selling access to pricing is anti-free market

Value - VALUE is established when the buyer and seller agree on a mutually beneficial price for care. Equality - Price EQUALITY is the basis of a free market. Any willing buyer should be offered the same price regardless of any factor. Go to fmma.org to learn more about the benefits of becoming a member!

Co-founders Dr. Keith Smith and Jay Kempton built the Free Market Medical Association to be a resource for providers who want to practice medicine with transparency and independence.

At the FMMA, we believe healthcare works best when patients and providers come together with clarity and trust.

Our vision is simple:
✔️ Transparent prices
✔️ Honest agreements
✔️ Fair value for everyone

Direct care providers don’t have to navigate this movement alone. FMMA is here to connect, support, and amplify your voice.

Our executive director, Matt Ohrt, joined the Take Charge with HELPcare Podcast to discuss “Cutting Costs, Not Care.”

Healthcare is one of the largest and most frustrating line items in any company budget. Premiums keep rising, often without explanation, leaving business leaders and HR professionals with two bad options: absorb the extra costs or pass them on to employees.

Matt explains how free-market medicine helps companies deliver better healthcare for employees while dramatically lowering costs.

HELPcare empowers people to take charge of their health, their healthcare, and their careers in the healthcare industry. We appreciate the opportunity and the great conversation!

The Free Market Medical Association is guided by core pillars that define why and how we work to fix the nation’s broken healthcare system.

1️⃣ Price: Care is the product, not access to pricing. Middlemen who profit from discounts or percent-of-savings deals drive costs up, not down.

2️⃣ Value: True value comes from fully transparent, honest pricing. Patients can make smart decisions only when price and quality are clear: no hidden fees, no tricks.

3️⃣ Price Equality: Cash is king. Every patient paying out of pocket should receive the same fair price.

These pillars keep healthcare transparent, fair, and focused on patients and providers...not middlemen.

Everyone agrees that the system is broken. Get involved with FMMA and start working to repair it.
