Here are the Most Common Injuries of CrossFit® athletes:

A systematic review published in The Physician and Sportsmedicine Journal reported that the most commonly injured areas in CrossFit® participants were:

• Shoulder
• Spine (including lower back)
• Knee

The authors also noted that prior injury, higher BMI, competition participation, and limited supervision were among the reported risk factors in the studies reviewed.
Source: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33322981
How physical therapy may help reduce injury risk:
• Identifies strength, mobility, or control limitations that increase tissue stress
• Improves movement quality under load
• Builds tissue capacity to tolerate training volume more consistently
• Guides intensity and recovery decisions to reduce overload
Training hard matters. Training smart may help you stay consistent longer.

Living with fibromyalgia can be exhausting.
Widespread pain, stiffness, and persistent fatigue can make even simple daily tasks feel overwhelming.
Physical therapy may help support people with fibromyalgia by focusing on gentle, individualized movement, education, and pacing strategies that respect both pain and energy levels.
Care is not about pushing through symptoms. It’s about understanding how the nervous system responds to stress, activity, and rest, and building tolerance to movement in a way that feels safe and manageable over time.
Physical therapy for fibromyalgia may include:
-Gradual, low-intensity movement tailored to current tolerance
-Activity pacing and energy conservation strategies
-Strength and aerobic activity progressed carefully over time
-Education to support confidence with movement and daily tasks
Care that acknowledges pain, respects fatigue, and adapts to each person can make a meaningful difference.

Are stress-related headaches making it harder to get through your day or stay focused at work?

Stress often shows up in your body as tight muscles in the neck, shoulders, and upper back. Over time, this tension can contribute to frequent, pressure-like headaches that keep coming back. Physical therapy offers a non-invasive way to address the underlying contributors, not just the pain itself. At H2 Health Oklahoma, our therapists assess how your neck, shoulders, and upper back are working together, then design a plan that may include targeted strengthening, stretching and mobility work, posture and workstation education, and hands-on techniques when appropriate. The goal is to improve how your body handles daily demands, so headaches become less frequent and less intense over time—not just for today, but for the long term.

If stress-related headaches are affecting your quality of life, take the next step. Contact H2 Health Oklahoma at (800) 699-9395 or request an appointment. With 28 clinics across Oklahoma, we're here to help.
