Toxic family members don’t apologize.

They gaslight.
They blame.
They rewrite history.
They play the victim when you finally stand up for yourself.

They don’t say “I hurt you.”
They say “You’re too sensitive.”
They don’t say “I’m sorry.”
They say “You misunderstood me.”
And somehow you become the problem for protecting your peace.

But just because someone shares your blood doesn’t mean they deserve a seat at your table.

Family isn’t about DNA, it’s about respect, safety, and love.
And if they can’t give you that?
You’re allowed to walk away.
