Our Aftercare team recently worked with a mom who amazed us from the beginning. Usually, the first months after safe family reunification are spent helping parents set up health insurance, find doctors and connect to other community resources to make sure they stay stable.

But this mom had already done it all. She had insurance ready, lined up medical and dental care, and found community resources to support her kids. She was proactive, responsive and determined to give her children the best possible life.

With KVC’s Aftercare team walking beside them, both kids are now settled into a new home and a new school... and they’re THRIVING!

Two sisters who have been through so much are now thriving. From top grades to choir and gymnastics, their joy and determination are clear in every smile.

Behind their success is the steady love of their father and his partner, who work tirelessly to protect and support them. Their commitment, combined with our Aftercare services, has created a safe and encouraging home where the girls can thrive.

Their story shows that with the right support, kids don’t just get through the hard times... they find joy and new possibilities in everyday life. 💚
