Dr. Patch had a wonderful time representing Sunshine Pediatrics at the Kansas City Girls Preparatory Academy Career Fair!

Dr. Patch was inspired to pursue medicine after meeting a physician who encouraged her to explore the field, an experience that truly shaped her path. She was honored to have the opportunity to be that same source of inspiration for other young girls considering a future in medicine.

Here at Preferred Pediatrics we are firm believers that vaccines are safe and very effective at keeping children healthy. We do not believe that politicians should be changing the vaccine schedule disregarding decades of scientific proof that vaccines work. We will continue to follow the science and vaccinate our patients according to the schedule still recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Founded in 1980, Preferred Pediatrics is a patient-centered group of pediatricians devoted to providing high-quality care for children from birth to age 21. They are centrally located at 135th and MurLen, not far from Prince of Peace. They offer timely care for acutely ill patients and ongoing therapy for those with long-term conditions.

The primary goal of the Preferred Pediatrics team is to keep kids healthy. Their office is easily accessible, with front-door parking and a team of four doctors. They focus on promoting healthy habits and overall wellness during every visit. All of our doctors are on hospital staff at KU-Olathe Hospital, Overland Park Regional Medical Center, AdventHealth Shawnee Mission and Children's Mercy Hospital. Preferred Pediatrics is always accepting new patients, takes most major insurances and would love to see your children!

Dr. Patch, Dr. Hettinger, and Dr. Voelker enjoyed being the hosts of this fall’s Women’s Giving Circle event! It was amazing to see the faces of some of our very own patients’ moms supporting the Olathe Public Schools Foundation.

Being centrally located among many Olathe Public Schools makes it especially important for us to stay involved—both in the clinic and in the community.

Thank you to the Women’s Giving Circle for allowing us to participate and for putting on such a wonderful event. The money raised for this year’s winners will directly benefit students throughout the district.
