This simple letter activity gave our student the chance to work on fine motor skills, visual motor integration, hand use, and early learning concepts in a fun and interactive way.

When a child grips the pencil too tightly, it can lead to hand fatigue, less smooth movement, and frustration with writing tasks. In OT, we work on improving grasp patterns, hand strength, and fine motor control so children can complete tracing and pre-writing tasks with more ease and confidence.

Many parents try to teach letters too early.

But before writing letters, children need pre-writing skills like:
• tracing lines
• crossing midline
• hand strength
• visual motor coordination

These are the foundations of handwriting.

As a pediatric occupational therapist, I created worksheets and activities that build these skills step-by-step.

Today my student worked on:

✔ hand control and problem solving

We used ’sAdventure, a story that connects learning with hands-on activities.

Kids learn best when stories turn into play.
