Building a Life of Freedom is our motto. We are a frugal couple who love a good deal, but are willing to pay for things that are worth the money.
Our goal for our life is to have FREEDOM;
Freedom from Debt: We stick to a budget. We are frugal and don't buy things we don't need. We have a plan to be debt free in the near future.
Freedom from Living Life on Someone Else's Terms: My husband is closer to retirement age than I am. We would like the freedom of being able to travel more (maybe even spend our Summers in the Northern US and Winters in the Southern US because we currently live in Texas and we could do without Texas Summers) and enjoy our time together. Being debt free, frugal and in a healthy home are all important to being able to live on your own terms.
Freedom from Toxins/Chemicals: To me, this is the most important one because if your home and environment are full of chemicals and toxins, you aren't living your best life, you aren't enjoying your life as much as you could be. At least we weren't. We were typical consumers up until about a year and a half ago, when a friend of mine sent me a few samples of Young Living Lavender essential oils because I had mentioned I never slept well, I tossed and turned all night, every night. I'd seen essential oils in the local grocery stores and drug stores, I'd even purchased them once or twice because I'm frugal (cheap) and hadn't noticed a difference. One night of sleep with Young Living Lavender on my temples and I was hooked. Over the last year, we have worked to eliminate toxins/chemicals from our home as I've dived into learning about essential oils and all the wonderful benefits they have. Take it from the cheapskate, with essential oils, you get what you pay for. I've researched many brands of essential oils and by far Young Living's Seed to Seal promise guarantees that the oils that are produced are of the highest quality. The difference in our home has been drastic once we started to eliminate chemicals and toxins that are in almost everything in our homes.
The reason removing toxins and chemicals from our home is the most important to us is that being debt free and living life on our own terms doesn't mean as much when you have migraines multiple times a week, aren't getting restful sleep, have "seasonal" issues year round and can't enjoy your life to the fullest.
