Regretfully, I have been very sick with covid since Monday and have been unable to open the shop so far this week. Today is the first day I have felt human enough to post here.

Even so, iI think we will play it safe and stay closed until next week on 9/11 so as not to be a potential vector to the public.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I will try to tackle any online orders next week when the shop is closed.

The name Hedge-Rider comes from the Old English haegtessa. The etymology of this term evades us much like the enigmatic spirit of the witch herself. Haeg or hedge refers to the boundary between borders. A shapeshifter by her very nature, the hedge witch moves sylph-wise between boundaries. Mounted on her anointed besom, she straddles both planes and penetrates the barriers betwixt flesh and spirit, living and dead.

New Metal Veve's and Sculptures from Haiti!

These handmade metal folk art sculptures are high quality and made from recycled materials by the hands of village artisans from Haiti.

Many of the artists who work with the company we purchased these metal sculptures from are enduring unimaginable suffering. Many have been forced to flee their homes and workshops, leaving behind everything they’ve worked so hard to build. Some have tragically lost their lives, and their absence is a heavy weight on all of our hearts. Each day brings devastating news—stories of loss and hardship that are almost too painful to comprehend. Despite these overwhelming challenges, these artists continue to persevere, clinging to their art as a lifeline and a source of hope.

I've not been on social media much for the past couple of weeks due to prepping for and being away hosting the 10th Annual Viridis Genii Symposium!! What an accomplishment!

✨️🌹🗝Dear Verdant Gnostics,

We are still drifting through the green-swept echoes of this year's gathering, hearts full and words just beyond reach. Ten years we have tended this emerald flame—and it is only through each of you, root and bloom, whisper and roar, that it has endured. Every soul who walked the paths, offered breath and presence, is a living strand in the great tapestry we’ve woven—each a key to the verdant gate, unlocking the mysteries of the Viridis Genii.

This year, we conjured, combined and transmuted the genii from its vessel, the first breath, from the first year, spiraling outward—a seed, now unfurled in full bloom a decade hence alongside the bioregion we gather upon now. Through hardships, revelations, and triumphs, what rises most powerfully is you—the community we have distilled. An authentic kinship, a wild and willful tribe, resilient as yarrow and tender as rose. This—this—is the true alchemy.

The symposium’s magic cannot be known by words alone; it must be lived. In late-night labyrinth walks, hushed revelations shared in shadow, in the wisdom pulsing through lectures and the glimmer of "aha" that finds you unguarded—we walk this verdant path together, deeper into the green.
