Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and brilliance of women everywhere who are leading, healing, and creating change in their communities.

As the President and the Vice President of the Calistus Multiple Myeloma Foundation, we are proud to stand together in a mission that brings science, hope, and support to individuals and families affected by multiple myeloma.

Through education, advocacy, community outreach, and patient support, our work is driven by compassion and the belief that empowered women can transform lives.

And of course, we’re not alone in this journey — our superhero mascot Mila reminds us every day that courage, knowledge, and hope can fly far when we work together. 💜

Today and every day, we celebrate the women who lead with purpose, lift others up, and turn challenges into impact.

For me, this month is deeply personal.

In 2016, I lost my father, Calistus Obodougo, to complications from Multiple Myeloma — a cancer that many people had never heard of, yet one that affects thousands of families every year.

During his journey, I saw firsthand the challenges patients and families face — the confusion, the emotional toll, and the need for stronger support systems.

That experience led me to start the Calistus Multiple Myeloma Foundation in 2019.

Our mission is simple but powerful:
💜 Raise awareness
💜 Reduce misdiagnosis and delayed treatment
💜 Support patients and caregivers
💜 Build stronger community education around this disease

Since our founding, we have worked alongside patients, caregivers, medical professionals, and community partners to bring hope and resources to families navigating multiple myeloma.

This month, our community will come together for one of our most meaningful events.

✨ The CMMF Biannual Auction Gala — “An Evening to Remember.”

📍 Thompson Alumni Center

This evening is more than a fundraiser.

It is a moment to:
• Honor those we have lost
• Celebrate survivors
• Support patients currently fighting this disease
• Bring our community together for hope and healing
