Today the Omaha Mocha Docs was honored for the Community Trailblazer Award from the NOAH North Omaha Area Health clinic that was started by Ira Combs about 23 years ago!

Other honorees include:
Community Advocacy Award: Brenda Council
Community Health Legacy Award Doris Moore with the Center for Holistic Development
Community Health Partnership Award: Center for Reducing Health Disparities, Dr. Keyonna King
Community Youth All-Star Award: Catherine Johnson
And, the Champion of Change Award went to Terri Sanders, who was also the keynote speaker.

Omaha Mocha Docs and soon-to-be-mocha doc sat and talked about ways to help people vote.

We ordered badges from https://vot-er.org/badge/ that we can add to our lanyards as we discuss civic health with some of our patients. Your voice DOES matter!

Like I saw somewhere (did Common say this?) that if our vote didn’t matter, they wouldn’t be trying to suppress it so much!

Excellent news!!!!
Mayor Stothert said the city will go through neighborhoods and pick up curbside debris.
This starts Friday.
NOTE: The city says it will ONLY do ONE swing through each neighborhood.
So you need to have your stuff on the curb!!!
We don’t know when they are doing our neighborhood.
