The meals next week are looking scrumptious! Make sure to call your center manager by noon to reserve your meal for the following day. Have a great weekend!

P.S. Don't forget about our Grab and Go program on those days that you can't make it to eat at the center!

Thank you to all who volunteer! Especially at all our Senior Centers!

During this month’s What’s Happening Wednesdays, we’ll highlight the volunteer programs at ENOA in recognition of National Volunteer Month. To kick things off, we’re sharing a message from our Executive Director, Trish Bergman:

I want to personally thank our 700+ dedicated volunteers who support the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging! The compassion and dedication you bring as volunteers make a powerful difference in the lives of the older adults we serve.

Meals on Wheels Volunteers – Your dependable service brings nourishment, companionship, and reassurance to homebound seniors across our community.

Foster Grandparents – Your mentorship, patience, and kindness enrich the lives of children and strengthen the bonds between generations.

Senior Companions – Your presence eases loneliness and brings comfort, dignity, and joy to older adults who rely on your support.
Senior Center Volunteers – Your energy and generosity help create vibrant, welcoming places where seniors can learn, connect, and thrive.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman Volunteers – Your advocacy ensures that older adults receive the respect, dignity, and quality of care they deserve.

SeniorHelp Volunteers – Your willingness to lend a hand—whether with transportation, home tasks, or friendly visits—keeps independence within reach for so many.

Thank you for giving your time, your heart, and your unwavering commitment to older adults in our community.

Senior Centers

The Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging’s Senior Centers, located throughout the five county area, serve as resource centers in neighborhoods and rural communities. Each center hosts a variety of recreation, social and health education activities and serves hot, nutritionally balanced meals.

Nutrition Services

Nutrition services will also provide a general nutrition screening of the senior center participants to obtain a general overview of nutritional risks of the well elderly. An eleven question assessment will be completed and reviewed to attain this information.
