For most of my life, I battled pain, fatigue, depression, and digestive issues. Misdiagnosed, misunderstood, and given meds that masked symptoms but never healed.

Everything shifted after a breast cancer diagnosis in my 40s. A naturopath asked me a question no one ever had: “Do you know why you had cancer?”

That moment changed everything. I began connecting the dots between my emotional life and physical illness. This is when I found the healing power of herbal medicine and holistic healing.

Before you reach for an over-the-counter antihistamine, you need to know your allergy type so you can match it with the right herbs.

• A large handful (1–2 cups chopped) is great in soups, sautés, or pesto. Incorporate it like you would spinach.

• Always cook or steam before eating to neutralize the sting.

• 2–4 times per week is a great starting point.
