Endless Journey Hospice Mid-Month Update: Community-Wide Donation Drive for Royale Oaks Residents

Endless Journey Hospice has partnered with Royale Oaks to host a month long, community-wide donation drive, bringing much-needed items to the Royale Oaks in-house store for residents.

At the halfway point, the response from the community has been incredible. Thanks to the generosity of local supporters, the shelves are steadily filling - and so are the hearts of those who call Royale Oaks home.

So far, the drive has gathered household essentials, comfort items, and special treats, ensuring residents have access to daily necessities and a few extra joys along the way. The in-house store empowers residents to shop for themselves with dignity and independence, creating a meaningful experience that goes beyond basic care.

There's still plenty of time to get involved! The donation drive continues through the end of the month, and community members can participate by donating items at Royale Oaks or Endless Journey Hospice. Together, Omaha can create lasting moments of joy and dignity for local seniors.

Volunteers serve a unique purpose in client-centered hospice care. They can offer companionship and socialization time for the patient or a much needed break for family caregivers. Volunteers are trained in hospice philosophy and basics for supporting patients/families in hospice. We complete background and reference checks on all Volunteers before placing them with patients. Volunteer support varies according to patient and family needs.

We are looking for Linclon and Omaha volunteers.

Meet Katie!

Katie is a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) who has been supporting children experiencing grief and loss since 2017. Her passion for helping children, and parents, understand terminal illness, death/dying, and grief has culminated in the creating of Grief Garden LLC. With the goal of partnering with organizations in the Omaha area, Katie seeks to better support children who are experiencing grief and loss with developmentally tailored play interventions.

She is excited to share her vision of children’s grief support with you!
