I’m sober (finally)… and I’m madly in love. Here’s the scoop. I fell in love with the same woman twice. I first met her in 1919 in New York City. 99 years later and halfway across the country, we crossed paths again here in Omaha, Nebraska. Falling in love again was inevitable. Anna and I recently got back from a trip to New York, where we kissed under the bridge where we first met in 1919, and walked the streets we once called home. Mind you, this is real life, not fiction. And it’s a story worth telling, which is exactly what I’m doing in a book called Remembering Manhattan that I’m currently writing. Our love story may have began a century ago, but it got a boost this past January, when I made the seemingly impossible decision to stop drinking. That same night in my dreams, I was visited by a spirit guide named Freddie who claimed he was my best friend in that past life in New York. Most shocking of all is that he’s co-authoring the book with me. It’s a story of second chances, divine intervention, broken cycles, promises kept, and a love that grew wings and flew at altitudes that time can’t reach. As of yesterday, I’m nine months sober. And… as was the case a hundred years ago in Manhattan, my heart belongs to the sweet woman you see in this picture. Follow our story and get alllll the details below in my candid and heartfelt blog article. It’s a story for the ages, and one that’s destined for the big screen once the book is finally released.
