So thankful for my family, friends, clients, and community. Ever grateful for travel, lattes, and books. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I was lucky to spend it with family visiting a new place, going to an art exhibit, and having dinner at a Christmas themed restaurant eating pizza. Looking forward to home and a snowy, cozy weekend in.

The Supreme Court on Monday declined an opportunity to overturn its landmark precedent recognizing a constitutional right to same-s*x marriage, tossing aside an appeal that had roiled LGBTQ advocates who feared the conservative court might be ready to revisit the decade-old decision.

The Omaha Checkup series continues with PERIODICAL. Presented in partnership with Access Period join us for this free screening and stay after for a post-screening panel discussion.

Happy National coming out day! I celebrated my first NCOD about 20 years ago in college. At the time it was exciting and exhilarating. (College naivety sure helped) The world can be cruel though and I’m grateful for my journey and the privilege to support so many clients in theirs. Whether you’re out and proud, quiet or loud, I see you and support you. LGBTQ+ rights are being threatened daily but they can’t take away love and community.

October is domestic violence awareness month month. I work with s3xuality issues and many of my clients have some history of assault. It is normal that this kind of trauma would impact having an empowering and pleasurable seggs life. But it is not normal to be hit, assaulted, screamed at, belittled, manipulated, or gaslit by anyone, especially a partner. Believe women’s stories (and men and trans folx and kids).

Haven’t posted a book round up in awhile! I read five books in September, three of them while on a solo trip. You can see the genres I pick run the gamut from thriller to magical realism. Honestly I just grab an available book from my TBR list, and I don’t even know what I’m about to read or how it ended up on my list usually. Book Lovers was my first ever Emily Henry read though and by far my favorite. Read anything good lately?
