Put a finger down if you have caught yourself saying "Just a minute" to your kids...for the third time...because you are too tired to get off the couch. 😬

That was me about a year ago.

I was coming off an extremely stressful year (Brighton's first year was ROUGH), and I was trying to run my business while working full time at my church. 😳 Plus be a new mom, with a super difficult baby, and breastfeeding exclusively.

That took a toll on me, and because I knew I could be replaced everywhere except my home, stepped away from my church role to be able to rest and give a better version of me to Brighton and Roman.

I was exhausted, had major mental overwhelm, brain fog, had very little motivation, and lost my creativity. Immune system was down and I had a few rounds of sickness, and a flare of EBV/mono.

I did my yearly comprehensive bloodwork and found several markers pointing to inflammation and oxidative stress. Not too surprising, given the chronic stress load on my body and mind! But something I needed to get on on top of.

That was what led me to FIT...the bioactive amino acid chain with cell signaling technology that helps reduce inflammation.
Reducing inflammation (the chronic kind) can have a wide variety of benefits including less pain, less stiffness, less brain fog, and improved recovery, including less post-workout soreness.

I noticed all these things within a week or two of starting and was blown away.

That’s backwards, boo. You don’t start losing weight by doing cardio. At least, you probly won’t lose FAT doing that.

Cardio can cause muscle loss, and if you lose muscle, you tank your metabolic rate. (I.e. ability to burn calories and fuel).

Your scale may go down down, but your chance of regaining the weight went UP.

Too much cardio can also raise cortisol, and cortisol can cause belly fat, water retention, and puffiness.

A better way to START your fat loss journey is doing everything you can do BOOST your metabolism.

The way to do that is a proper nutrition plan with ample protein, carb cycling and separating your fuels.

For exercise, start with weight lifting in a heavy weight range. That builds muscle, and the more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism… the higher your metabolism, the more fat you can burn.

Plus you have more energy and are stronger and more resilient!

THEN 👉🏻 if you do cardio, you can do it because you’re strong, your metabolism can handle it, and it feels good!
