Goofy picture today for our update 😂

Surgery went fairly smooth. She did end up needing some blood because the tumor that was being removed from her pelvis was causing quite a bit of bleeding and was also not able to be entirely removed due to it falling apart as the surgeon tried to resect it. The one from her rib area was more encapsulated so that was able to be taken out fully.

We should be getting discharged today at some point and Zoey is managing the pain very well. We have been on several walks ! 🙏🏻

Zoey went into surgery a little bit ago. Prayers that everything goes smoothly 💗🙏🏻 We both didn’t sleep much so I’m hoping that both her and I can get some rest after she is done and she can have an efficient recovery.

Zoey had a fever of 102.4 that sent us to the ER again today. Thankfully we were able to come home, although she tested positive for influenza A. Two of the four children are currently out for the count with fevers, headaches, and tummy aches. We are doing everything we can to nurse them back to health as quickly as possible. Joey already had the sickness and has recovered so then the two who are down now will hopefully be on the mend very soon!

As of right now surgery is still scheduled for Thursday this week, but that could change if she is not recovered. We are praying for healing and recovery but also trusting in God’s timing. 🙏🏻 I’m one tired mom and would really appreciate any and all encouragement. Prayers for protection from this sickness would be appreciated too (for Zach, the newborn, and myself)! ❤️

Life is too good with these two beauties 😭

Update on timeline of Zoey’s surgery/ stem cell transplant:

We had the unfortunate news of being RSV positive last week and are now doing much better. PRAISE GOD!

We couldn’t get in for surgery until at least 3 weeks after her initial surgery date. Surgery is scheduled for March 12th with a likely 2-3 day recovery that could be inpatient.

Stem cell transplant should come after surgery but again would probably be two weeks after surgery. We don’t have dates yet for that but hopeful that we can just keep moving forward towards healing for Zoey ❤️

Looking at these two side by side makes my eyes get all watery. Can’t believe I get to be their mommy and have two of the cutest girls in the world as my daughters 🥹

Little update:

-Zoey got her baby sister that she had been hoping for (her name is Phoebe)
- All three of the older kids got RSV and we are curretly working on helping them recover as well as we are able to
- Due to the positive test of RSV her surgery that was supposed to be today (Monday) is now being postponed
- I still am unaware of the new start timeframe of stem cell transplant since the results of the last CT scan showed those new lesions that we are awaiting the removal of
- The Lord is so good and faithful in every season and He keeps showing us favor and love continually. We are grateful ❤️

Thank you to all who have been supporting us and especially to those who have been helping with meals and our household in general! We are so fortunate to have yall in our corner and we love you all so much!

Our sweet Kent family just welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world! 🎀🩷 What a precious blessing!

As they adjust to life with their newborn (and continue walking through everything they’re already carrying), we would love to surround them with practical love and support.

One simple but powerful way we can do that? A meal. 🍽️

If you feel led, please consider signing up to bring dinner, send a gift card, or bless them with something warm and ready. Let’s lighten their load so they can focus on soaking up newborn snuggles and healing.

It truly takes a village — and this family is so loved by ours.

Thank you for continuing to show up for them in such tangible ways. 🤍

Update: 2/9/2025 Baby is here! 🎉 Amanda welcomed their beautiful new baby today around 1:00 PM, weighing 9 lbs 10 oz. Mom and baby are doing well, and their hearts are full as they soak in these first sweet moments together. As they begin this postpartum season—while also continuing to walk thr...

Update from yesterday’s scans:

The results from yesterday were not what I had wanted to hear, but they’re also not the worst worst. Her Curie score went up by one point due to finding two new lesions in her soft tissue. Both on her right side with one in her pelvis and the other near her rib/lung area. We will be getting another CT scan more specific to the area in her pelvis to really see what is going on. We obviously are a bit confused by the new lesions showing up because she had done so well after that first round of immunotherapy but ultimately I just want to trust the Lord for her healing and let NO glory go to medicine anyways. This will likely need surgical removal since it’s in soft tissue and not on bone. Which will also push back stem cell transplant a bit. Planning too far ahead on a healing journey like this is near impossible because things have changed and needed readjusted several times.

Zoey is in good spirits and she actually did really well after her anesthesia wore off yesterday- they changed up the meds a bit and it was a success!

We go in for another CT scan on Monday and will be waiting on plans for surgery.

Thank you for continuing to pray for us and support our family ❤️

This week has been a week of planning and preparing plan A’s and plan B’s for the coming of the 6th member of our family. We have an admission for Zoey, about 4 different in-clinic appointments, home health appointments, and a potential ear tube placement while she is under anesthesia for imaging all during the time frame I am expecting to deliver our baby #4. Huge huge thank you to my friends who have been able to help me think through ideas of how to cover all of our bases and have been able to step in to help in all the areas needed!! It is such a relief having plans made for every scenario so I can rest assured all of my babies will be well taken care of no matter the situation.

We did get an estimate of a start/admission date for stem cell transplant and it should be approximately February 18th that she would be admitted. However I did find out today that she will be getting not just one but two stem cell transplants. Each transplant takes about a month (or more). So as we are navigating this season of insane transitions(new baby, month long inpatient stays, and new location for treatmet)- at this point it feels like that’s all we know- if you desire to help in any way feel free to message me for ways you can do so but otherwise I will link our GoFundMe again so if you desire to contribute that way you are able to do so. We appreciate prayer more than anything ! Believing for Zoey’s complete healing and for a smooth delivery of baby #4! Thank you all for being with us ❤️ We are so blessed with an amazing support system!!

Made it home from the hospital yesterday in the afternoon. As always, the kids are so happy to be back together and able to play hard once again. Zoey is doing well, just some head pain but she slept really well last night AND ate her breakfast this AM more than she had while we were inpatient. Hoping to take it easy and just enjoy family time until our next admission in December.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support !
