Hello! A little update on my weekly yoga class. I’ll be taking a break for the month of June and am planning to offer some outdoor classes in my backyard over July and august. Stay tuned! Every time I teach a class, I feel vulnerable.

Even though I have taught 2000+ classes, I still get nervous.

I believed it was because I didn’t have enough confidence.

Today I learned that I was wrong.

What I have is an abundance of courage.

I really care about what I do…I am passionate about it.

I also know that coming to a class can take a great deal of courage while feeling vulnerable.

We respect your courage and vulnerability.

Come to a safe place to move your body, breath, mind and Spirit. That is what we offer.

See you on the mat.

I wanted to touch base and let you know that I’m taking a bit of a break from teaching right now to focus on self care. The world has been heavy lately and I’m honouring my needs. A big part of my self care has been moving my body daily which often includes yoga postures (asana) and breath work (pranayama).

Hi! I’m Stephanie and I use she/her pronouns. In August I graduated from the 200 hour yoga teacher training at the Yoga Centre of Niagara. I always wanted to take a teacher training program for myself and the opportunity presented itself. This training was amazing on so many levels. I went into this not sure I wanted to teach. Since graduating this has shifted and I’m excited to share my learnings. The most important things yoga has taught me is presence, being with discomfort and being okay with this feeling, and, most importantly, self-compassion. I practice and teach yoga because I love what it can offer and I want to share that with others. Yoga is soooo much more than the physical practice and is truly lived off of the mat. If you take a class with me you can expect a calm practice that cultivates presence, self-compassion, and joy 🙂
