VNAcare

VNAcare VNAcare is a non-profit, community-based home care agency, providing high-quality hospice services to people of all ages. VNAcare unites us under a single name.

We have a 70-year tradition of non-profit service to communities in Southern California. VNA has been operating under three different names, VNA Hospice & Palliative Care of Southern California, Community Hospice of Victor Valley, and Arbor Hospice. All three were part of the VNA organization and served a very large territory of communities within Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles Counties. VNAcare was thoughtfully chosen to represent our longevity as a Visiting Nurse Association and our tradition of care and service to our communities.

Did you know? Hospice is often fully covered.

In most cases, hospice care is covered 100 percent under Medicare, Medi-Cal, and most private insurance plans. That means there is typically no cost to you.

Hospice also covers medications, medical equipment such as hospital beds or oxygen, and medical supplies related to the hospice diagnosis.

Hospice focuses on comfort and support so families can focus on time together, not financial stress.

Why choose VNAcare?

Because your care should reflect your wishes.

We respect every patient and familyโ€™s unique goals and do not follow one-size-fits-all models. This allows you to remain in control while we build an individualized care plan around what matters most to you.

Founded in 1952 as a Visiting Nurse Association, VNAcare remains a nonprofit organization. That means more time spent with patients and more focus on personalized, compassionate care.

Your goals guide the plan.

During National Nutrition Month, we recognize how important proper nutrition is for older adults and individuals facing advanced illness.

Balanced meals help maintain strength, energy, and overall well-being. Even small adjustments can make a meaningful difference.

A simple tip:
Offer smaller, frequent meals throughout the day instead of three large meals. This can help improve appetite and reduce fatigue during eating.

Good nutrition supports comfort, stability, and daily quality of life.

When is the right time to consider hospice?

Hospice may be appropriate when treatment shifts from curing an illness to focusing on comfort, support, and quality of life. Beginning services earlier often allows patients and families to experience more meaningful benefits, including symptom management, emotional support, and guidance every step of the way.

Many families tell us they wish they had learned about hospice sooner. Having information early helps you make confident, informed decisions.
