Lucy enjoyed her first massage with Equitouch a few weeks ago! This girl was having some stiffness in her neck and hind. She is feeling much looser now.

I hope everyone is able to beat the heat in the weather we are having.

Did you know that I leave you with stretches to work on with your horse? These stretches can help your horse’s problem area’s in between massages. I have seen HUGE improvements with horses that the owners have continued to work with the horse in their problem areas

Equine massage isn’t just for horses in work. It can help horses who just need some pampering, relaxing your broodmare, or helping your sale horses reach a higher potential in their skill.

This week we had a very busy week with new faces!

It’s always so satisfying meeting new equines and learning what they like and what they don’t.

I always get so excited getting a horse to feel comfortable enough in the space to release and let me help them.

As show season is picking up, horses will often start to show signs of mid-season fatigue.

Reach out and let’s talk about how Equi Touch can help you and your equine partner reach your season goals!

LET’S SAY IT LOUDER!!!!

Thanks to Lauren for this lovely post.

It’s not about us in the end. It’s about our animals feeling their best, which treatment works best to achieve that. Sometimes it’s multiple therapies to make a horse feel great. Sometimes one thing works best.

I want to know how your horse feels after a massage. How do they ride? How are they feeling? How do they look? Mentally do they seem happier?

Maybe massage isn’t for your horse. That’s FINE, but I noticed your horse is sore. Let’s find another therapy that might be a better fit. I’d be happy to help you and your horse find something that works.

Horses can start to show mid-season fatigue as early as now. You can help your equine partner out with a massage to help relax and restore the muscles. Making sure they are feeling their best promotes them to function at their best level.

Did you know?

That massage can help your horses nervous system. The nervous system creates a functional internal environment for your horse. After a massage your horse’s body will continue to release endorphins (feel good hormones) for up to 48 hours post massage .

Massage will help balance dopamine and serotonin.
Dopamine- also known as the happy hormone. It plays a role in influencing mood, motivation, attention and movements.
Serotonin- is a neurotransmitter and hormone. It helps many bodily functions such as sleep, digestion, mood, anxiety, blood flow and breathing.

A massage stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system. This system balances the body and promotes healing.
