So many of us are defined by our limitations. Introductions are no longer the formality of a name and who you are, its what you have, what you struggle with and what you still might have to offer. Try to let your inner self glow through the cracks. We are still soft souls underneath some of this damage, regardless of what we 'have'. Stay true to yourselves. We see you 👻

SHOUT OUT!! YOU GOT THIS!!! Day in, day out, round and round we go. Give yourself some love for doing the unimaginable. We see you 👻

“Shoutout to everyone who wakes up each day just to fight the same battle that left them exhausted the day before. It takes a special kind of strength to do it over and over again.”

Living day after day with a body or mind that feels like the heaviest weight really does take a strength that only those who have experienced it can understand. You know how hard you’ve fought, even if this life gave you know choice. This is a shoutout to you. Sending love to everyone who gets it 🩵

We had to share this because it is so wildly accurate. Have one 'normal day' requires days of draining prep work, while trying to allow yourself to be excited. But then it's also days of recovery for giving your brain a party and for a few hours. Often times the before and after work doesn't seem worth the effort. And then if we dont force ourselves to be human, there is the sadness of missing ou that follows. It's never easy.
One the days where an outing, event or commitment is possible... remember how strong you are. And how much of a sacrifice it took. Be kind to yourselves. We see you. 👻

Five days drained, one night alive, one day recovering. Repeat for 40 years. Who designed that schedule?

We do the absolute best we can each and every day and that counts for EVERYTHING!! If all you did today was try, good for you! That's more than enough. We see you 👻

We see it. Every struggle. Every fiber of pain. Every line of fatigue. Every delay because of pure exhaustion. Every doctors' visit and hospital stay. Every treatment or procedure. Every failed attempt at trying to function. All of it. We out on brave faces, a little smile, a small awkward laugh while we see the daily torment. All consuming some days. And a lot of days it can feel like that's all we see.

Always remember that you kept trying. You kept working towards having some resemblance of some level of normalcy and happiness. Its so easy to get caught up seeing the harsh side, but life is precious and beautiful. Full of small wins and celebrations. Dig deep and you might be surprised. But keep focusing on seeing what is in the here and now. And not what could have been.

Dare to see life a little differently today. See the good, because we see you. 👻🩵

Hello everyone, and welcome.

This is my name and this is my story

My name is Sarah, and I’m the creator of this space. I’m a 46‑year‑old veteran, a mother, a daughter, a best friend, and someone who has walked through more than a few storms.

Over the years, I’ve lived with several life‑threatening illnesses and life‑changing injuries — cancer, pancreatitis, a heart attack with pericarditis, complex PTSD, neurological issues, several spinal reconstructive surgeries, and dozens of other surgeries that have shaped my journey. I’ve spent years in hospitals, fighting my way back not only to my health, but to myself.

Despite all of it — or maybe because of it — I’ve learned how deeply important it is to feel seen, heard, valued, and connected.
Invisible illnesses and injuries can make us feel isolated, misunderstood, or forgotten, even by people who care about us. I created this page so none of us have to feel alone in that darkness.

I love being creative, I have a life long love of animals, and I love life — truly. Even the hard days. Today, I’m choosing joy where I can, and I want this community to be a place where others can do the same. A place where we honour our hard days, celebrate our small wins, and support one another with compassion and honesty.

If you’re here, you matter. Your story matters. And I’m grateful you’ve chosen to share this space with me.

Welcome and we see you!!

Some of us might remember when we thought the pain scale went from zero to ten. Most of us remember the days, weeks, months or years we have spent adding new numbers to the scale. And some days, even 20 doesn't seem to be the limit. Hang in, be strong and we see you. 👻

It is almost impossible to describe, what we ourselves cannot understand. Words fall short of describing the pains, the frustrations, the difficulties, the fatigue. Like magic, it is extremely difficult to explain what the eyes cannot comprehend. But we see you, no need for any explainations here. 👻 🩵

Our symptoms, like us, go unseen. The silent struggles we bear, would be to much to list. It's a crazy twist when your struggles far outweigh what comes easy in life. And by easy, I mean possible, and managing becomes more than a full time job. Remember how much strength and perseverance it takes to keep going and take a moment to recognize how amazing that is. Be proud of yourself and give yourself that long over due hug or pat on the back. You are warriors of your own battles. We hope today is little easier on you. We see you, fighting the good fight, everyday. Keep it up. 👻

It's not our place to try and talk someone out of their feelings. There's no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to feel. Meet them where they are, not where you imagine they should be, and just support them as they work through what they are feeling. If you're professing to be there for someone, it needs to actually be about them.

Just my two cents as I work through some hurtful drama. What are your thoughts?
