BabyWaves is a unique addition to Opelousas and the surrounding areas. We specialize in elective, entertainment ultrasound for expecting moms. Our goal is to provide you with a relaxing environment for you and your family to bond with your new little bundle of joy! We provide gender determination as early as 14 weeks as well as 3D/4D/HD Live ultrasound. While we always recommend scheduling your 4D ultrasound between 28-32 weeks for the best chance at those clear, squishy-face images 👶💛 — this mama came in at 38 weeks and still got stunning pictures of her little one!
Every pregnancy is different, and while later scans can be more challenging (less space, lower fluid levels, baby might be facing the wrong way), this visit was a perfect reminder: sometimes, you still catch magic ✨
📸 Want to boost your chances of getting great images? Hydration is key! We recommend drinking a gallon of water per day for 1–2 weeks prior to your appointment to help improve fluid levels and clarity.
Even though 28–32 weeks is our sweet spot, beautiful results can happen later — just keep in mind that results may vary depending on baby’s position, fluid, and other factors. 💕 We’re always happy to try!
