One thing you’ll come to find is as much as I love to be healthy and active, I’m a total foodie.

I believe there should be a balance in being healthy and still enjoying all the yummy foods.

I also don’t just eat healthy/work out for aesthetic reasons, I do it so I can attempt to lead a long, healthy life!

Fun fact, I’m currently in a surplus (if you hadn’t noticed in my posts), wanting to add size.

I’m on week 7 of 16, if I make it that far. When I calculated my nutrition, I estimated I’d add about 12lbs during this time. I’ve already added more than half 😳!

As long as I still fit into my pants, I’m ok with any growth 😂.

I want to take today to remind you that yes it’s holiday season, yes you should enjoy all the yummy food, but you should also remember your goals.

Don’t allow one season to ruin what you’ve worked hard for.

Keep that activity up, don’t binge for weeks on end. You worked hard to get where you are, remember that.

You can never go wrong with tacos, am I right?

There are fish tacos, shrimp tacos, al pastor tacos, potato tacos, avocado tacos, the list is endless, you can really mix and match here🌮🌮🌮

As far as the nutrition part, they’re fairly healthy, as long as you don’t eat a million at a time. All about balance 🤭

Did you know rest and recovery is vital for your performance⁉️⁉️

During rest & recovery is when your body replenishes what has been depleted, such as energy stores, and it allows your body to repair itself. ✨

So all those gains you’re seeing is happening during the rest & recovery period. 😴

Don’t think that you constantly need to be working out. Listen to your body, allow it to rest. A few days of not working out won’t kill you. ✅

What’s for lunch? 🤤

As I’ve mentioned, right now is a very busy time for me, so I like to prep food that doesn’t take hours to make. 🥬🌶🥪

But in general, who has time to take hours to cook on the daily? I sure don’t. 💯

When it comes to food, I try to get different colors into my diet to get the benefits of different nutrients. 🍅🥬🍗🌶

Brunch at is always a good time.

My favorite plate of all time there is the green pozole! Have you ever had green pozole? First time i ever had it was in , MX & I fell in love.

Been over 15 years, wow how time flies! Once the world goes back to normal, I’ll be planning a trip there and you can see the OG pozole☺️!

It’s taco Tuesday 🌮, where it’s always a party💃🏼!

When eating healthy, you don’t have to sacrifice flavor. You just need to be mindful of the things you eat, as well the portion size.😜

BTW the more active you are, the more calories you’ll burn😉. So take that walk, pick up some weights, & move💪🏼!
