Step into the old-world indulgence of boutique handmade apothecary with our luxuriously moisturizing soaps, skin care, soy candles and other fragrant delights. We make our candles from soy and coconut wax with paper core wicks and our soaps, perfumes, skincare, and bath treats from botanical oils and beeswax. All this is scented with our own fragrances created from essential oils and premium fragrance oils. You'll find our products in Lacy's Florist in Orange, Michie Tavern in Charlottesville, and many other locations on our website's Stockist page.

Eternal perfume from the Eternal City.

Roman bird-shaped glass vessels were used as perfume bottles. The liquid was sealed inside the vessels and the tip of the tail had to be broken to remove the perfume. The one in the bottom picture (dated to the 1st century CE) is still intact and filled with the scented content

I love how many links to further info are in this post by Kris Bordessa. We’ve been using out cardboard for w**d control for years. The idea of composting and vermiposting the paper in our own backyard sounds much more ecological than shipping it to China.
