Is a self critical inner voice limiting you?
Your brain is an important source for creating balance and wellness in your life.
Instead of reinforcing the thoughts that limit you, you can create new pathways in your brain by consciously choosing and reciting the opposite thought as often as it takes!
The power to manage the inner critical voice starts with awareness to the fact that you have a choice!
Wherever you have negativity blocking you, take the time to sit with the opposite of that negativity. Choose the counter thought!
Repeat it and the brain believes it!
Unrealistically high standards can lead to harsh self judgement for our failure to live up to them. Often at the core of unrealistic expectations and self criticism, are perfectionism, a need for control and insecurities.
A critical inner voice signals stress in your body, and may increase stress hormones, anxiety, worry, depression, fatigue, isolation and may negatively impact your immune system, digestive health, and quality of sleep.
Exercise, eating colorful plant foods, adequate sleep also help to enhance the brains ability to develop new pathways of thought.
Make small space for what you can do to enhance your wellness lifestyle. Do it, now, today - for 60 seconds, for 10-20 minutes. Again tomorrow. One minute, 10 minutes - again and again. Same with accepting your appearance and body. With any of your self-care procrastination and limiting self-talk.
Enjoy your accomplishments and be thankful for your abilities. No need to constantly prove yourself worthy.
Show up with gratitude as the person you desire and aspire to be!
Get out and move! Nourish your body, mind and spirit!
