Being productive can make life feel more controlled, but control isn’t the same as calm.
Anxiety isn’t caused by laziness, lack of discipline, or a messy to-do list. It lives in the nervous system. That’s why staying busy might give you temporary relief but never lasting peace.
You can be organized, accomplished, and still anxious. That doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means your body is asking for safety, not more productivity.
