“Every fear is a fear of death.”

When I first read this, it stopped me in my tracks. What do ya think? Does this ring true for you?

For me, I’m terrified of heights. It’s bad—I recently got queasy just looking at a picture of the stairs at Machu Picchu. (Yes, a picture!) Sure, some of that is vertigo, but some of it is a deeper fear of death. If I fall from that height, I know I won’t survive. That fear makes sense in a survival context.

But what about less obvious fears? A fear of success, failure, rejection—could these, too, be linked to a fear of death? Maybe not physical death, but the death of an identity, a relationship, or a way of being. If we keep peeling back the layers of the onion, we might find that same core fear at the center.

What do you fear? How do you think it connects to a fear of death? ✨💜💀

Do you find yourself saying things like “If only I made them go to the doctor sooner”, “I should have noticed the signs”, or “If I wasn’t so busy this wouldn’t have happened”?

Feeling guilt after someone’s death is a common response but I am here to remind you that your person’s death or illness is not your karma. It just is. We will all die one day no matter how many times we go to the doctor or how fast or slow-paced we live our lives. 💜

Loving this visual of death!

If death could be anything (because if we are being real it very much could be ANYTHING) what would your vision of death be? 💜💫

Today, I picked the first flower from the gardenia bush and I get to say happy Pub day to on her beautiful book!!!! No coincidences.

I started listening to it this morning because I was impatient. I think it's perfection that she reads it. I adore it already. Im on chapter 3 or 4.

What are you reading this week?

“Flowers smell the most beautiful just before they wither; so too does the death rally flare with that last little bit of life’s fire before it dies.”🔥

Have you ever witnessed the death rally? When somebody is in their final stages of dying, sometimes they appear more alert, energized and stable. It’s called the death rally, also commonly known as “terminal lucidity.” It can be a defining moment. Your loved one might make plans or crack jokes. Or reminisce with their loved ones. It can look like a turnaround in the dying process; a miracle no less. But it’s the opposite. It’s the death rally. It’s a standard sign that death is near.

If you’ve seen it before, what did you mistake it for? Or did you know what to expect? In loving memory of that heart-aching moment of beauty you witnessed in your beloveds. 💜
