Detox isn’t about restriction- it’s about nourishment!

Reducing inflammation in the body matters because it allows your hormones, gut, and energy to function the way they’re meant to.

And the best way to keep inflammation in the body low is to eat a diet rich in colorful plant foods, heart healthy fats like nuts and seed and whole grains. While an anti inflammatory approach such as the Mediterranean diet can be appropriate for almost anyone, bio individuality should always be considered. Some individuals may not tolerate certain foods, even though they are anti inflammatory. Likewise, some individuals may require additional nutrients from foods these diets exclude.

Your liver, gut, and hormones rely on hydration, fiber, protein, healthy fats, and anti inflammatory foods to function properly. This month and I have been doing small wellness challenges to enter the new year feeling great in both our minds and bodies.

This week we’re focusing on:
✅ supporting digestion
✅ reducing inflammation
✅ helping detox pathways work efficiently

Because when the gut and liver are supported, hormones follow 💟

Save this post + follow along with the challenge 😊

Let’s get healthy together! 🎉

This November looked a little different for me — not a lot of pictures on my phone, but a whole lot of life happening offline. My younger brother went through a major surgery, and most of this month was spent surrounded by family, all of us coming together to support his healing journey 💛

Despite the challenges, my heart is full. I’m forever grateful for having my family close, for our strong bond, and for the never-ending support and love from our friends and cherished ones. Grateful not only for family and health, but for God’s steady presence through every high and every challenge this season.

One verse that gets me through life ups and downs:
و لسوف يعطيك ربك فترضى "93:5”
“And your lord will give you, and you will be satisfied”

A gentle reminder that even in hard times, God is preparing something better ahead - and everything we walk through is held within His wisdom, mercy, and timing.

I’ve also recently started holiday shopping and, honestly, it’s brought me so much joy — a little lightness in the midst of a busy season. This week, I’ve been reflecting on the year and what a whirlwind it’s been… taking intentional time away from social media to rest, reset, and focus on the priorities life placed in front of me. Operating a food truck business, pouring into my full-time job, and even being recognized at work for my efforts — it’s been a year of growth, stretching, and gratitude.

And today, especially, I’m thankful for a body that is always working hard for us… even on the days we forget to take care of it 🤍

Happy Thanksgiving Eve, friends. Wishing you warmth, connection, and nourishment in every way — mind, body, and soul 🍂🧡

What’s one thing you’re grateful for this year? 😊

Your gut and hormones don’t want restriction 🥲

Every color, texture, and ingredient on your plate brings something different to your body: fiber to feed your gut bacteria, antioxidants to reduce inflammation, protein and healthy fats to balance your blood sugar and hormones.

This week, my meals were a colorful mix of flavors and nutrients: steak with cucumber salad and mashed potatoes, chicken and vegetable soup, bone broth, turmeric milk, Egyptian fattah with lamb shanks and nuts, cilantro rice with shrimp and broccoli, hibiscus tea, tomato soup with grilled cheese, and avocado toast with eggs.

Each plate had its own purpose - some comforting, some energizing, some deeply nourishing - but all working together to support hormone and gut health.

When you rotate your foods and include plenty of vegetables, herbs, and whole ingredients, you’re not just keeping your meals exciting… you’re feeding your gut microbes a diverse range of nutrients, helping your hormones stay balanced, your digestion happy, and your energy steady.

Healthy eating isn’t about cutting things out - it’s about adding more of what your body needs in a way that feels sustainable and enjoyable.

Your gut and hormones don’t want restriction - they want diversity, color, and consistency 💛

Starting the week with something that fuels my body and feels cozy 🍏 This Apple Pie Berry Smoothie is packed with fiber, healthy fats, and antioxidants - the perfect balance to keep blood sugar steady and digestion happy.

Ingredients:
1/2 apple
1 cup mixed berries
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup milk of choice

Remember, your gut and hormones thrive on consistency, not perfection. Nourish them one meal at a time ❤️

Have a great week!

One thing my gut loves? Variety 🥑🥗🥘

This past week’s eats looked like: tuna salad, chicken salad, crab salad, turkey chili, raw marinated crabs, smoothies, rice & kufta, egg toast, avocado toast, stir fry + wontons, seaweed, kimchi, and all kinds of sandwiches using sourdough or whole wheat/grain bread with different meats and veggies.

✨Why does diversity matters? Because your gut bacteria thrive on different nutrients and fibers. The more variety you give them, the more balanced your gut becomes - which also means better digestion, stronger immunity, and even improved energy + mood.

Tell me, do you usually rotate your meals or stick to the same foods each week? ❤️

🌿✨ Closing September with Gratitude ✨🌿

This month reminded me that health and wellness don’t just live in workout plans or perfectly balanced plates… they live in the ordinary, sacred moments we often overlook - sharing meals that nourish (and honestly, eating more than I probably ever have 😅), laughing with loved ones, feeling the sun and sand, moving my body in ways that bring me joy.

And one thing I’m proud of? Staying consistent with my Wednesday gym sessions 💪🏼 no matter what else my movement looked like during the week. Because wellness isn’t about doing everything perfectly, it’s about showing up for yourself in the ways that matter most.

The best part? I didn’t stress about calories, because wellness is so much more than numbers.

Did you know:
💤 A good night’s sleep helps regulate hunger hormones and literally supports metabolism.
😂 Laughing for 10–15 minutes can burn up to 40 calories.
☀️ Sunshine boosts vitamin D, which plays a huge role in mood and energy.

Wellness isn’t something we chase far outside of ourselves; it’s built quietly in the present, in choosing to show up, connect, and honor our bodies and minds with the simple things.

As October begins, I’m setting the intention to slow down, to be more present, and to find joy in consistency over perfection. Because at the end of the day, true health is about how fully we allow ourselves to live, love, laugh, rest, and breathe in the everyday.

🍂 Here’s your reminder: the small, intentional choices you make today can shape a healthier, more grounded tomorrow.

What’s one small thing you want to carry with you into this new month?

🥗 Four salads, four ways to fuel your body and support your health:

🌱 Tuna pasta salad – protein + complex carbs to keep energy steady
🌱 Quinoa & roasted veggies – fiber + antioxidants for happy digestion
🌱 Mediterranean salad with eggs – healthy fats + protein for hormone balance
🌱 Greek salad with red beans – plant protein + gut loving fiber

Here’s the truth 👉 health doesn’t have to mean complicated recipes or endless restrictions. It’s about focusing on what actually matters: nourishing your body with variety, balance, and foods that make you feel good.

Your gut and hormones thrive when you keep things simple, colorful, and consistent 💛

So next time you’re planning meals, remember: it doesn’t need to be “perfect”. It just needs to be supportive. Small, intentional choices like these add up to big results.

Which salad are you grabbing first? ☺️

Looking back at August with a full heart 🙏🏼 It was a month of good food, exploring new cute cuisines and restaurants, watching the sun rise, celebrating love, special birthdays, and creating memories with people I cherish. Ending it with a little escape to South Beach reminded me how important it is to slow down, recharge, and just be present 🧘🏻‍♀️

Now stepping into September, I want to take that same energy and focus on building consistency with the little things - moving my body daily, eating foods that make me feel good, and staying intentional with how I spend my time 💛

Here’s to a new month of balance, growth, and choosing habits that bring out our best selves. Let’s make it a good one together 🙌🏼🌿

What’s one habit you watch to stick to this month? 😊

💥 If stress is messing with your hormones… you’re not imagining it.

I used to think feeling tired, bloated, and moody was “just part of life”

But here’s the truth 👉🏼 When your stress hormones (like cortisol) stay high, they create a domino effect: gut inflammation → hormone imbalance → more symptoms you don’t want.

The good news? You don’t need a 2 hour morning routine to feel better.

Small, doable habits make a big difference:
✨ A short walk outside
✨ Balanced meals with protein & healthy fats
✨ 5 deep belly breaths before eating

I’ve seen these simple shifts completely change how women feel - energy up, mood stable, digestion happy 💛

Which one will you start today? Comment below so I can cheer you on 🎉

Your gut might be hijacking your hormones… here’s how to know ⬇️

I used to think my gut and hormones were two totally separate things.. turns out, they’re basically roommates who can’t stop gossiping about each other 😅

When my gut was a mess, my hormones were all over the place too - and I didn’t connect the dots for years.

If you’ve been:
😣bloated after almost every meal
😫dealing with brutal PMS
😤snapping at people for no reason
😑breaking out like you’re 16 again
😴tired no matter how much you rest

…it might be your gut quietly running the show.

I promise your body isn’t broken. It’s just trying to tell you something and once you start listening, things really can change 💛

Which of these 5 signs is your body whispering to you right now? Comment the emoji that matches your mood 🌿

Save this list and share with a friend who keeps saying “my hormones are just crazy” 🙈

Happy Friday, friends! 😍 Wishing you a weekend full of slow moments, deep breaths, and nourishing food. Try to spend at least 20 minutes outside this weekend - fresh air, sunlight, and nature help lower stress hormones, boost your mood, and support better sleep 🌿

Small wins, big changes 💫
