Weight-loss or Fat-loss - it can be one of the most challenging things you’ll ever do. Now that’s not because it’s so hard but because you don’t know exactly what to do and how.
Because you’re a Achiever, you can’t fathom “why can’t I get this right”, “This shouldn’t be hard”
But more importantly, you can get lost in - can you be consistent or not. Your mind must create the space for you to truly commit to a lifestyle and not just a plan.
Often it’s thought, if I’m more disciplined, I’ll be more successful. That couldn’t be further from the truth!
Most people can do anything for 30 days, maybe even 60, but can you do something for 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, 10 years? That’s where habits are critical. Habits are what create consistency!
Let’s talk about how you change them and are successful now and in the future.
1. Be honest about what you want! Don’t shy away from your true desire. Don’t shrink it down to what other people think you should want
2. Know it’s OK to not be the expert in this and stop being embarrassed to ask for help
3. You’ve been “dieting” or in a deficit too long. It’s mentally exhausting and can miss the mark on your real desire
4. Stop focusing only on the scale! There is more to your body and health. Use other benchmarks to help you track progress.
5. Account for all items consumed - not just the ones that you see as “food” - this means condiments, liquids, random snacking, etc.
This will build awareness to where you real issue is
6. Take away the time constraints on hitting the full goal. Create milestones to assess progress. Know changing your body and creating habits takes time.
