This is a common misconception that leads to confusion and misunderstanding I encounter often as a clinical provider.

Outdated FDA warnings are blocking women from accessing safe, effective treatment for
Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM). Local vaginal estrogen—a proven therapy for
symptoms like tissue decline, painful s*x, and frequent UTIs—remains burdened by a boxed
warning that no longer reflects the latest research.
This isn't just about removing a label; it’s about saving lives and improving women’s health
outcomes. Women deserve accurate, evidence-based information that reflects the true safety of
local vaginal estrogen.
What can you do? Join me in supporting the Unboxing Menopause campaign to urge the FDA
to remove this outdated and misleading warning! Your voice matters—click the link in my bio to: Link: https://www.letstalkmenopause.org/unboxingmenopause

send a letter to the FDA. Let’s ensure all women get the care they deserve.

"We found that postmenopausal women who historically received (hormone therapy) were biologically younger than those who did not receive HT, regardless of socioeconomic background," the authors wrote. "Our findings highlight the importance of emphasizing HT use in postmenopausal women to promote inclusive healthy aging."

Hormone replacement therapy could be a major key to unlocking health benefits for women going through menopause, according to new research.

My passion is to impact women on a deeper level by connecting the dots of the whole body connection and hormone optimization. It’s my belief that if you optimize hormone function; you optimize your life. Heal Women You Heal the World.

Why is this important to me?

Women are BADASS. We live in a day and age where women are becoming more impacted and impactful not only in the home but outside of the home as well.

Women are Leaders: climbing the corporate ladder, dominating in technology, politics, sports, entertainment, and activism. Yet, we are still largely responsible for keeping up with the logistics of home.

Our bodies are natural biological systems going through dynamic changes according to our biological clock and circadian rhythms.

There exists emerging shifts of these biological clocks, hormones, environmental changes, relationships, and social dynamics.

Let's honor perimenopause, menopause and the support each other.

“🌟 **Boost Your Health Post-Menopause with Vitamin D!** 🌟 for Va**na sakes.

Did you know that Vitamin D isn’t just for strong bones? A recent study has shown that Vitamin D can significantly help lower inflammation after menopause¹. This is a game-changer for many women experiencing discomfort and health challenges during this phase of life. There is growing interest in the literature that involves its benefits even in s*xual wellness and improving vaginal health by helping to support vaginal ph with the loss of estrogen after menopause.

**Why is this important?** 🤔
Inflammation is a natural response by your body, but chronic inflammation can lead to various health issues, including joint pain, cardiovascular problems, and even mood swings. It can also contribute to how women may experience symptoms of s*xual function, urogential infections, and vulvovaginal symptoms. By maintaining optimal Vitamin D levels, you can help reduce these risks and improve your overall well-being.

**How can you get more Vitamin D?** ☀️
1. **Sunlight:** Spend some time outdoors each day.
2. **Diet:** Include Vitamin D-rich foods like fatty fish, fortified dairy products, and egg yolks.
3. **Supplements:** Consider a Vitamin D supplement, especially if you have limited sun exposure. 4. Get your vitamin D checked for optimal levels through a 25-OH vitamin D blood test to better guide informed decisions.

Remember, every small step towards better health counts! Let’s embrace this journey together and thrive beyond menopause. 💪✨

Menopause is a natural transition, not a disease. Let's debunk some common myths:

Myth: Menopause means the end of intimacy.
Fact: S*x and Intimacy are not the same thing. You can find a new world of intimacy without actual s*x. The vital part to thrive is to be open in communication to gain confidence in and out of the bedroom.

Myth: Hot flashes and night sweats are inevitable.
Fact: While common, these symptoms can be managed with and without hormone therapy. Many women may have other symptoms that end up worse than vasomotor, ie hot flashes and night sweats.

Myth: Weight gain during menopause is unstoppable.
Fact: The key is consistency and to create a new game plan for peri/menopause personalized to you. Although nutrition and fitness routine are paramount, the mindset, reduction of stress, and sleep optimization is just as vital. Remember, you are beautiful just the way you are.

Taking Control of Estrogen

Estrogen can play a commanding role in hormone malfunction, especially if it becomes more dominant. This is called “estrogen dominance”. Wow. Rocket science, right?

In our 40’s and going into menopause, women often experience the symptoms of too much estrogen, and then find themselves going through alternating periods of too little. It’s a roller coaster ride with estrogen at the wheel.

What does this look like? Weight gain especially around the time of cycles, fatigue, heavier and longer periods, irritability, bloating, trouble sleeping, and just feeling overwhelmed.

Ultimately, it’s important to understand estrogen imbalance, which often results in inflammation — our body’s way of protecting itself. Inflammation is a disturbance in the body’s normal capacity to function that is similar to being ablaze. (Yes, that is a dictionary definition).
