I have sessions with clients in which I tap into their higherselves. My clients come with an intention for the session, they draft a list of questions, and I connect with their higherself to get the the root of what they are struggling with. Many people think in order to stand in their power they need to take something away from someone else, it needs to be a win-lose situation. There’s another option. You can stand in your power, while giving the other person the freedom to stand in theirs. You can both win. Getting here involves self awareness and the ability to listen, I mean really listen, to the person you’re having this discussion with. Listening to understand is critical.

Affirmation is like replacing your habit of smoking with eating cookies. Eating cookies are better than smoking, but you’re still replacing one unhealthy habit with another. Try asking yourself this question when reaching for affirmation or dealing with addictive behaviors, “What is my addiction distracting me from?”.

Affirmation is attempting to convince yourself of a statement, a belief, that you don’t really believe. Affirmation is better than listening to negative mind chatter, but you’re not really doing the work. Doing the work involves getting to the root of why you’re triggered in the first place. It’s great to be back. The trip was such a learning experience, wonderful and incredibly intense. I did certainly miss the creature comforts of home. I’m for everything I have, an amazing fiancé, lovely clients, and access to mind blowing delicious tacos 🌮 😄.

I’m back! Reflecting on my time spent on the farm. In the first photo, I’m waiting for our processes to start and the second, is a glimpse of the hut we did our processes in. This farm is such a magical place.
