Ashley Midkiff is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor for Clinical Social Work Interns in the state of Florida. She received both her Bachelor of Arts, with a focus in Social Work and Psychology, and Master of Social Work from Ohio University. During her graduate studies, she contributed to the publication of journal articles, served as a counselor for children and adolescents and co-founded a student organization that advocated for youth sentenced as adults. After receiving her Master of Social Work, she began working as a community youth advocate mobilizing community partners and families of court-involved children to advocate for juvenile justice and education policy change. While advocacy continues to be a passion of hers, she has been solely focused on providing individual and family therapy to the community since 2014. Her goal is to provide trauma informed care and equip her clients with the skills they need to improve quality of life.

Our Story

Ashley Midkiff is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and advocate, dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals and society as a whole. Ms. Midkiff studied Social Work and Psychology at Ohio University. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Midkiff interned at a residential treatment program for juvenile offenders where she began building her professional knowledge around clinical practice with juvenile offenders and their families. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Arts, she became a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of Ohio. Her scholastic achievements warranted her acceptance into an advanced standing master program which enabled her to receive her Master of Social Work in 2010. During her graduate studies, Ms. Midkiff contributed to the publication of journal articles, served as a counselor for children and adolescents and co-founded a student organization that advocated for youth sentenced as adults. After receiving her Master of Social Work, Ms. Midkiff moved to Miami, Florida to pursue her dreams and began working as a community youth advocate with the Southern Poverty Law Center. At that agency, she mobilized community partners and families of court-involved children to advocate for juvenile justice and education policy change. Ms. Midkiff decided to focus on clinical social work in 2012 and became an Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2014. She now offers mental health services to a range of populations.
