Do you know you need to make some changes for better health?

Looking to take steps toward the vision you have for a healthy lifestyle?

Would you like accountability and support for better nutrition or regular exercise?

… no gimmicks! no quick fixes! no magic pills! Just an evidence based approach to changing your mindset and changing behaviors.

This is different than nutrition or fitness coaching in that YOU ARE THE EXPERT ON YOUR JOURNEY. I’ll be there to guide and offer resources.

Coaching can be setup as…

👉🏾 a 3 session series to develop and evaluate a game plan or;
👉🏾 a 3 month program to tackle multiple goals and habits for a holistic approach to health

It’s that time of year again when the “fitness/nutrition” influencers are preparing to run ads selling you their “guaranteed weight loss meal.”

Spoiler Alert 🚨 That meal plan will only last 30 days (short term tool). It’ll likely contain mostly smoothies, create scarcity among carbs, and will come with no instructions for modifying for food allergies, intolerances, or preference.

My question to you is what’s your plan for Feb 1? Rinse and repeat?

What if you invested your money and time for 30 days learning and developing skills that will last you the rest of the year?

The self-determination theory contends that individuals who are able to successfully navigate challenges, maintain control of decisions/choices, and feel connection to supportive others are MORE LIKELY to experience long term success on their health journey.

So which would you prefer? A random calendar of veggies and chicken (🤣) or a toolbox of skills to decide what’s best for you and your lifestyle?

I was born to teach and coach. I am 100% sure of that. You know what else? I am really good at it 😉

I’ve had the opportunity to teach in the formal classroom, in the workplace, on the softball field, and in the gym. I thrive off the energy created when learning is occurring. 🤓

I love to learn, ask questions, and practice my craft so that whenever I have the chance I can teach it to someone else. I work to be an expert in my field, not for myself, but so that I can share credible information with others. Giving the gift of knowledge is important. 🎁

Most people believe they should wait until after the holidays to start eating healthy. But Thanksgiving and Christmas are only TWO days.... what are you going to do with the remaining 58?

Individuals with serious mental illness are often not motivated to jump into a new behavior like exercise. But can we be real? Many humans are not MOTIVATED to get moving. However, the evidence is so strong that supports exercise positively influencing symptoms of depression and anxiety.

I’ve been away tending to some very important deadlines. 🎓

October is HEALTH LITERACY MONTH and includes mental illness awareness week, and world mental health day 🗓

What the heck does that have to do with exercise?? Stay tuned to find out. Let’s shake the stigma associated with mental illness and find ways to support others through exercise 🏋🏾‍♂️⚽️🚴‍♂️🧘🏾‍♀️

Since health literacy is one of the most important contributing factors to health disparities it’s my goal to share as much information as possible about integrating the physical and mental health needs of humans 💪🏾🧠

What do you need to know? Whether you’re a client, athlete, or coach we all need to know and share the importance of physical activity and exercise 👩🏽‍🏫
