On International Women’s Day, we celebrate strong women.

But many women who carry real responsibility know something most celebrations don’t talk about.

Strength often looks like pushing through exhaustion.
Holding everything together.
Showing up even when your internal pace has been elevated for far too long.

From the outside, you may look steady.

But steady on the outside doesn’t always mean regulated on the inside.

For women who lead in their homes, churches, organizations, and communities, the constant demand to “handle it” can quietly take a toll.

In this month’s note, I shared a few practical ways to interrupt that cycle and begin regulating again — because strength should not require you to run on empty.

If you carry a lot and have been feeling the strain, this may resonate with you.

Strong leaders are often praised for how much they can carry.
More responsibility. More pressure. More expectations.

But there’s a point where carrying more stops being strength and starts becoming strain.

Leadership burnout rarely happens overnight. It builds quietly—through constant output, unspoken pressure, and the belief that you have to keep showing up no matter what it’s costing you.

In this new blog, I talk about what happens when leaders carry more than they were meant to—and why steadiness, not over-functioning, is what sustains real leadership.

Many leaders are applauded for stamina but quietly strained beneath the surface. When strength becomes endless responsibility, wellness suffers. Most women in leadership already know how to cope.

They’ve learned how to push through exhaustion.
How to stay composed under pressure.
How to keep showing up even when their internal reserves are running low.

But coping doesn’t change the pattern.

It simply helps you survive it.

In my work as a clinically trained, evidence-based Christian counselor, we go further than identifying stress or distorted thinking.

We confront it.
We examine the logic behind the belief.
We trace where the pattern began.
And then we rebuild truth your mind and nervous system can actually sustain.

Because when the lie is dismantled, the behavior loses its power.

Strong & Steady™ isn’t about managing stress more efficiently.

It’s about dismantling the belief systems that keep capable women in constant overdrive — the ones that say you must carry everything, anticipate everything, and hold everything together.

If you're ready to stop coping and start confronting what’s actually driving the cycle, this space was created for you.

Join me for the upcoming Strong & Steady™ group for Christian women leaders.

You don’t mind being the dependable one.

You’ve built a reputation on it.

At home.
In ministry.
At work.

But lately? The cost is showing up in your body.
In your sleep.
In the quiet frustration you don’t say out loud.

Strong women don’t burn out overnight.
They erode slowly — through over-functioning, emotional suppression, and carrying what was never meant to be carried alone.

Strong & Steady™ is a 6-week virtual therapy group for Christian women leaders who are experiencing stress, anxiety, leadership fatigue, or the early signs of burnout.

This is structured. Clinical. Faith-integrated.
And focused on real tools — not just inspiration.

Inside the group, we work on:

• Regulating your nervous system in real time
• Reducing over-functioning without compromising credibility
• Setting clear boundaries without spiritual guilt
• Managing leadership-related anxiety
• Rebuilding rhythms that actually sustain you

You don’t need another motivational talk.

You need skills.
You need steadiness.
You need a space where you don’t have to be the strong one.

Thursdays
March 19 – April 23
6:30 PM – 7:45 PM (Virtual)

Spots are intentionally limited to protect the integrity of the group.

As a clinically informed, evidence-based Christian Counselor, I don't just identify distorted thinking. I confront it. I disrupt its logic. I trace it back to its origin. Then "we" rebuild truth your mind and nervous system can actually sustain.

When the lie is dismantled, the behavior loses it power.

Strong & Steady is NOT about managing stress better. It's about dismantling the belief system that keeps you in overdrive.

This is root work.

If youre ready to stop coping and start confronting whats actually driving the cycle, this is for you.
