www.sarahbroderickrn.com Once upon a time, I thought the only “career ladder” in healthcare was more school, more certifications, and more stress. Now I help healthcare workers shift from “Tell me what to do” → to “I run the show.”

If you’re craving more freedom, confidence, purpose, and… let’s be honest… better income than the hospital hallway will ever give you — welcome. Entrepreneurship is wild, emotional, confusing, exciting, and 1000x more rewarding than another degree you don’t actually want. And you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here with mindset shifts, confidence boosts, practical steps, and the occasional “you’ve got this” reality check. If you’re a healthcare pro who knows you're meant for more —
You’re in the right place.

If you work in healthcare and are tired of only learning how to be good at your job, welcome.

This space is about life success for people working in healthcare.

No more just looking successful.
This is where we learn how to actually feel successful.

Healthcare careers can make us appear successful on the outside — but behind closed doors, how do you really feel?

Here, we focus on the things your profession never taught you:
money, confidence, boundaries, relationships, and building a life you truly enjoy.

Because at the end of the day, we are human first.

Our jobs matter — but they are only one part of who we are.

This is a place where people in healthcare come together to grow, learn, and build lives that feel as successful as they look.

Take care of others.
But don’t forget to love and invest in yourself too.

Most people were never taught how credit cards actually work.
So they focus on earning more money… while quietly losing thousands to interest.

A $6,000 balance can cost $1,200+ a year in interest alone.
However, you can completely avoid this if you understand how the system works.

Healthcare education teaches people how to care for patients.
But almost nobody teaches the skills that protect your own life and finances.
And that’s exactly what I talk about here.

Follow if you work in healthcare and want to create your own success, wealth & joy by learning the eclectic skills school never taught.

Sometimes the things that made us happiest as kids are the exact things we stop making time for as adults.

Somewhere along the way life gets busy… work gets serious… and we forget the simple things that once made us feel alive.

Joy isn’t complicated.
Sometimes it’s just remembering what you loved before the world told you to grow up.

When I was a little girl, I loved Barbie. I still do.

Barbie reminds me of who I used to be — the imagination, the joy, the freedom of being a kid. Even now, as a 35-year-old woman, I still wear Barbie clothing sometimes… the same way little girls do.

And honestly? The number of women who stop me to compliment it is amazing.

I think in some ways we’re all still connected to the child we once were.

Sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is let that part of us come back out a little.

👇 What’s something from your childhood you still love?

Healthcare workers: studies have linked shift work to higher divorce risk.

Research looking at non-traditional work schedules (like nights, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays) has found that these schedules can increase the likelihood of divorce.

Some studies suggest the likelihood can increase from about 7% to around 11% when someone regularly works non-traditional hours.

It’s not because healthcare workers love their partners any less.

It’s because shift work can make relationships harder.

Different sleep schedules.
Missing holidays and weekends together.
Less shared time.
Higher emotional stress from work.

Over time, these things can slowly create distance if couples aren’t intentional about staying connected.

The good news is that many couples navigate this successfully when they prioritize connection.

A few things that can help:

• Schedule intentional time together — even if it’s not on weekends
• Protect small daily check-ins (10–15 minutes without phones)
• Communicate openly about stress from work
• Plan shared activities when schedules overlap
• Show appreciation for each other’s sacrifices

Healthcare is demanding, but strong relationships are still possible when both partners work to stay connected.

Your career shouldn’t cost you your relationship.

Follow for real-world life, money, and success education for people in healthcare.
