I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who supported us through this roof contest. This whole thing has been emotional and honestly a little gut-wrenching at times putting ourselves out there, asking for votes, and doing it alongside families who are also going through really hard moments in their lives.
But we’re grateful. Grateful for the chance, grateful to have made it this far, and grateful for every single person who voted, shared, and checked in on us. The support has meant a lot!
Tomorrow we find out! Between 12–3, the company will surprise the winner at home. They may show up here, or they may show up at another deserving family’s door.
No matter how it turns out, we’re thankful for the opportunity and for the kindness everyone has shown us.
Win or lose, thank you for rallying behind us!!

When you just happen to run into one of your Heart Surgeons at the hospital you must get a picture!!
We will forever be thankful to this man and the entire team at Arnold Palmer. Jackson is having a 24 Hour EEG as a follow up to an abnormal EEG a few months ago. Praying that if something needs to be seen it will show while we are here.

We are having an incredible weekend in Indianapolis at the Battle on the Bricks. Jackson’s camp boggy creek is part of the resilient racers and Jackson is on the Ford #64 team. They have made us feel like family this weekend and he is having the best time ever.

With All Your Heart – Jackson Lee Daniels ❤️

When my grandson Jackson was born in March 2013 with a serious heart defect (HLHS) that threatened his life, I created a personal story website to keep family and friends updated. During those first 52 days in the hospital, until he was discharged from Arnold Palmer, the page allowed Jackson’s parents, Jacqi Hughes and Jason Daniels, to share updates. It also gave thousands of Jackson’s followers a way to send prayers and uplifting messages to support him and our family.

Earlier this year, in May 2025, Facebook/Meta deactivated the page without warning. When we reached out, we were told it no longer existed. Just today, while searching for my business page, I ran into a glitch and discovered that both pages had been deactivated and hidden. Thankfully, I was able to reactivate them.

Although updates have been less frequent as Jackson’s health has improved — and because he’s now older and doesn’t always want his picture taken — I know there are still many who care about how he’s doing.

The page is active again. Please feel free to follow, share, and enjoy future postings as we continue Jackson’s journey. Jacqi Hughes

The mostt recent news about Jackson's pacemaker-
This is how Jackson feels about one year left on his pacemaker battery. He will be doing monthly pacemaker transmissions to keep a watch on the battery life 😩 Cue the anxiety
He will have surgery to replace it.

FINALLY he is back to semi-normal. For 3 days he had some “rare” myositis neck/back/and chest pain from the Flu. Today was his first day not feeling any pain and he actually smiled and acted goofy I am so thankful that he is on the mend. We spent the afternoon at Camp Holly listening to a friend play some live music 💚

He is home! I put him to bed in his own bed tonight and that felt great. When we got home I cleaned out, organized and sanitized the entire room.
I wanted to make sure he had a great fresh start back. He is still coughing but he is in a much better place than he was 3 days ago.
I wanted to make sure everyone knows how wonderful his care team truly is and how much I appreciate all of them. We even got to see some of his OG nurses who started this journey with us. They’re wonderful and it speaks volumes that they’re still on the unit helping other families all these years later. We did also have new doctors, PA’s and new nurses who were fantastic as well. The cardiac unit is a force to be reckoned with. We just love them.

Jackson (and the whole family) has been fighting the flu. I took him to the doctor for ear pain and they ended up sending him to the ER in Orlando because his oxygen was too low.
So we stayed over night last night at APH for oxygen, antibiotics for an ear infection and monitoring.
He’s currently trialing off the oxygen and taking a nap. Hopefully we won’t be here long but definitely needed to come in.
