I think I’m finally going to start a podcast. 🎙️

I’ve had the itch for a while.

Not because I want to be an influencer.
Not because I think I’ve got life all figured out.
But because I care about real conversations that actually matter.

As a counselor, husband, father, and business owner… I keep coming back to the same thought:

There’s probably something here worth sharing.

If I do it, I want it to be real.

Not polished.
Not fake.
Not “guru” content.

Just honest conversations about:
• mental health
• faith
• fatherhood
• marriage
• entrepreneurship
• discipline
• burnout
• purpose
• emotional resilience
• building a meaningful life

So I need some real advice 👇

If you’ve started a podcast (or you’re a big podcast listener), what do I need to know before I do this?
• Solo or guests?
• Audio or video?
• Short-form or long-form?
• Best beginner mic/setup?
• Biggest mistakes to avoid?
• What keeps you listening?

Drop your best advice in the comments or DM me.
If I do this, I want to do it right.

I’m not trying to build noise. I’m trying to build something worth listening to.

The real Saint Patrick story isn’t about luck. 🍀

He was kidnapped.
Enslaved.
Broken in the wilderness.
And that’s where God met him.

Later, God called him back to the very land of his pain…
not for revenge,
but to preach the Gospel.

That’s the real legacy of Saint Patrick:

grace, repentance, courage, and obedience.

As believers, we don’t trust in luck.
We trust in the providence of God.

This St. Patrick’s Day, remember:

☘️ God redeems suffering
☘️ God calls us beyond comfort
☘️ God uses ordinary people for Kingdom work
☘️ You do not need luck — you need Christ

Not luck. Providence.
Not superstition. Truth.
Not random chance. God’s grace.

Most men were taught to be “nice.”

Nobody taught us how to be respected.

Big difference.

If you struggle with boundaries, confidence, dating, or constantly putting others first while feeling resentful… this book will hit hard.

No More Mr. Nice Guy explains why “being nice” is often manipulation in disguise — and how to become grounded, confident, and authentic instead.

Not for the faint of heart.

He wasn’t angry.

He was exhausted.

A husband told me recently, “I don’t know why I’m snapping at everyone. I love my family.”

After we talked, one thing became clear:

He was sleeping 4–5 hours a night for months.

Sleep deprivation doesn’t just make you tired.
It makes you reactive. Foggy. Short-tempered. Disconnected.

Many Christian men think pushing through exhaustion is strength.

It’s not.

Rest is stewardship.

If stress, irritability, or family tension are increasing, it may be time to look deeper.

If you’re ready to lead from clarity instead of exhaustion, you can book a confidential session through my contact page.

🌿 Starting therapy? Feeling nervous?
You’re not alone — and you don’t have to have the perfect words to begin.

Therapy is a space where you get to show up exactly as you are — anxious, unsure, overwhelmed, or curious.
You don’t have to carry it alone anymore.

In my latest blog, I share what to expect in your first session and how therapy can support your journey through a faith-based lens.

🕊️ Therapy can be a place of healing, clarity, and renewal — a space where faith and mental health meet.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – Romans 12:2

💭 "What if I start therapy and don’t know what to say?"
This is one of the most common fears people share with me — and it’s one I deeply understand.

Starting therapy can stir up anxiety, especially for those of us who’ve learned to carry things quietly. But what I want you to know is this: You don’t need to have it all together. You don’t need perfect words.

God meets us in our mess, and therapy can be a space where we learn to do the same — with grace, honesty, and healing.

I just wrote a blog post to help ease those first-session nerves and offer a faith-based perspective on beginning the therapy journey. Whether you're considering counseling for yourself or simply curious, I hope it speaks to your heart.

🕊️ “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...” – Romans 12:2

If you’ve been praying for a sign to begin — or just wondering what therapy could look like for someone like you — this might be it.

With grace,

“Build before the rain.”

Earlier this week, I shared a short reflection on Facebook from my Bible-in-a-year reading plan—Genesis 6, where God gives Noah instructions to build the ark before the storm.

The response was bigger than I expected. A lot of people resonated with the idea of preparation happening before crisis.

So I expanded it into a full blog post.

In the article, I explore:
• Why the ark was built during ordinary life
• How this story mirrors mental health work today
• What it means to “waterproof inside and out” emotionally
• Why counseling is often most effective before things fall apart

Mental health isn’t just about surviving storms—it’s about preparing for them.

If this idea resonates with you, you can read the full reflection here:

I’m doing a challenge to read the Bible in a year, and today I landed in Genesis 6.

God didn’t wait for the storm to start before giving Noah instructions.
He told him to build before the rain.

That’s how mental health works too.
We don’t build coping skills, boundaries, and resilience in crisis—we build them ahead of time.

Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken.
It’s about preparing for what life will bring.

🚢 Build before the rain.

Reflecting on 2025

As the year comes to a close, I took time to look behind the scenes at the systems that supported ethical, accessible mental health care throughout 2025. This snapshot isn’t about outcomes or promises. It’s about the quiet, often unseen work that makes consistency, access, and professionalism possible—documentation completed, time honored, and care delivered in ways that meet people where they are. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve responsibly, to accept insurance so care is more accessible, and to continue refining systems that protect both clients and the therapeutic process. Thank you to everyone who trusted the process this year—clients, colleagues, supervisors, and community partners. Moving into the next year grounded, reflective, and committed to doing this work well.
